''Dynamite'' is the sixth studio album by English funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai. It was released on 15 June 2005 in Japan, 20 June 2005 in the United Kingdom, 21 July 2005 in Australia and 20 September 2005 in the United States. Album information The album was released after the 2004 film ''Napoleon Dynamite'' featured the Jamiroquai song "Canned Heat" in its climactic dance scene. " Feels Just Like It Should" was the first single, reaching No. 8 in its first week on the UK charts. It has since become a No. 1 hit on the ''Billboard'' dance charts in the United States. The single was also certified Gold in Japan for selling 100,000 copies. The second single, "Seven Days in Sunny June", was released in the UK in August 2005, peaking at No. 14 on the UK Singles Chart. The song also features in the film '' The Devil Wears Prada''. Jamiroquai () are an English funk and acid jazz band from London. Formed in 1992, they are fronted by vocalist Jay Kay, and were prominent in the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. They built on their acid jazz sound in their early releases and later drew from rock, disco, electronic and Latin music genres. Lyrically, the group has addressed social and environmental justice. Kay has remained as the only original member through several line-up changes. The band made their debut under Acid Jazz Records but subsequently found mainstream success under Sony. Seven Days In Sunny June
"Seven Days in Sunny June" is the second single from British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai's sixth studio album, ''Dynamite'' (2005). Written by lead singer Jay Kay and new keyboardist Matt Johnson, the track is considered to be a throwback to the old acid jazz sound upon which Jamiroquai made their name. The song peaked at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The video features the band having a pool party in a garden, where they do random things such as playing with a beach ball, riding minibikes, throwing confetti, as well as having ketchup lowered from a helicopter, as Jay Kay sings the lyrics. However, the word "bomb" in "drop the bomb on me" is cut out, as it—alongside the radio edit—released a month after the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London. "(Don't) Give Hate A Chance" is the third and final single from British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai's sixth studio album, ''Dynamite'' (2005). The title is a reference to the song "Give Peace a Chance" by John Lennon, and was written by Jason Kay, Rob Harris and Matt Johnson. It was produced by Kay and Mike Spencer. The single was released on 7 November 2005, peaking on the UK Singles Chart at number 27. Music video The video for "(Don't) Give Hate a Chance" is Jamiroquai's only computer-animated music video and pays homage to the Italian cartoon '' La Linea''. "Canned Heat" is the second single from British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai's fourth studio album, ''Synkronized'' (1999). Released on 24 May 1999, it was their second number-one single on the US Dance Club Songs chart and peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart. The music video was directed by Jonas Åkerlund.
