Dutton Park Place Busway Station
Dutton Park Place busway station is located in Brisbane, Australia serving the suburb of Dutton Park. It is the penultimate westbound stop on the Eastern Busway. Situated on the eastern bank of the Brisbane River at the end of the Eleanor Schonell Bridge, and connects the busway to the University of Queensland via its busway station opposite the river. Passengers can access the station from TJ Doyle Memorial Park Drive, near the South Brisbane Cemetery, while buses can enter and exit the station independently of the Eastern Busway at the Annerley Road-Gladstone Road intersection. History Although the Bridge was constructed in 2006, the bus stop on its eastern end at Dutton Park Place was only opened on 3 August 2009, as part of the Boggo Road Busway connecting UQ Lakes to Buranda. Eleanor Schonell Bridge
The Eleanor Schonell Bridge, better known as the Green Bridge, is a 390-metre (1,280 ft)-long cable-stayed bridge which crosses the Brisbane River between Dutton Park and the University of Queensland's St Lucia campus, connecting the UQ Lakes and Dutton Park Place busway stations. Its deck is 185 metres long, 20 metres wide and about 18 metres above the river's surface. The bridge was opened on 17 December 2006, and is the first bridge in Australia exclusively designed for buses, cyclists and pedestrians. The bridge cost $55.5 million to construct. The opening of the bridge signalled the end of the popular cross-river ferry service between Dutton Park and St Lucia, which had been running since 1967. Eight Mile Plains Busway Station
Eight Mile Plains busway station is the southernmost station on the South East Busway in Brisbane, Australia serving the suburb of Eight Mile Plains. It opened on 30 April 2001 when the busway was extended from Woolloongabba. It is currently the last station on the South East Busway, and is connected to the Springwood bus station by the Pacific Motorway. It is enclosed by a number of major roads including Logan Road, Miles Platting Road, the Pacific Motorway and the Gateway Motorway. It features a free park & ride facility. As part of the upgrade of the Pacific Motorway between Eight Mile Plains and Daisy Hill commenced in 2020, the South East Busway will be extended to Springwood bus station. Woolloongabba Busway Station
Woolloongabba busway station is located in Brisbane, Australia serving the suburb of Woolloongabba. It opened on 13 September 2000 when the first section of the South East Busway opened from Melbourne Street, South Brisbane to coincide with the start of the 2000 Olympic football tournament, for which some matches were held in Brisbane. It initially opened for outbound services only, with inbound services commencing on 23 October 2000. It is on a spur from the main trunk route, with inbound services joining the busway proper at Mater Hill. It is adjacent to the Gabba. As part of the abandoned BaT Tunnel project, it was proposed to build a railway station adjacent to the busway station. Brisbane City is the central suburb and central business district of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. It is colloquially referred to as the "Brisbane CBD" or "the city".
