Woolloongabba Busway Station
Woolloongabba busway station is located in Brisbane, Australia serving the suburb of Woolloongabba. It opened on 13 September 2000 when the first section of the South East Busway opened from Melbourne Street, South Brisbane to coincide with the start of the 2000 Olympic football tournament, for which some matches were held in Brisbane. It initially opened for outbound services only, with inbound services commencing on 23 October 2000. It is on a spur from the main trunk route, with inbound services joining the busway proper at Mater Hill. It is adjacent to the Gabba. As part of the abandoned BaT Tunnel project, it was proposed to build a railway station adjacent to the busway station. This has been revived as Cross River Rail, with Woolloongabba railway station due to open in 2024. Stanley Street, Brisbane
Stanley Street is a major street in Brisbane, Queensland. It carries the designation state route 41 for the entirety of its length and state route 10 between the Vulture Street and Annerley Road intersections. For the majority of its length the road is a one-way carriageway westbound. The route is a major connector between the Southern and Eastern suburbs and South Brisbane. Mater Hill busway station is located in Brisbane, Australia serving the suburb of South Brisbane. It opened on 23 October 2000 when the South East Busway opened from the Cultural Centre to Woolloongabba. It is surrounded by Mater Health Services, from which the station derives its name. It is served by 36 routes operated by Brisbane Transport and Clarks Logan City Bus Service as part of the TransLink network. The station has been notorious for bus build up due to shorter platforms. Woolloongabba railway station is a railway station currently under construction as part of the Cross River Rail project in the Brisbane suburb of Woolloongabba. To be built as an underground station beneath The Gabba, it will consist of two platforms with a connection to Woolloongabba busway station. Cross River Rail
Cross River Rail is an underground railway project through central Brisbane, which is, , under construction. Cross River Rail will see the development of a new rail line underneath Brisbane River, and the redevelopment of a number of stations in the Brisbane central business district. BaT Tunnel
The BaT (Bus and Train) project was a proposed north–south tunnel that would provide bus and rail modes of transportation by combining a new underground rail line and busway in a single, double-decked, 15m-wide tunnel beneath the Brisbane River and Brisbane central business district.
