Dukku is a Local Government Areas of Nigeria, Local Government Area in Gombe State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in Dukku town. The Gongola River flows through the west and north of the LGA. It has an area of 3,815 km and a population of 207,190 from the 2006 census. The vast majority of the population are Muslims, but there is a Christian minority. The major ethnic group is Fulani with Fulfulde being spoken as a major language alongside Bole language, Bole while Hausa language, Hausa, Kanuri language, Kanuri, and Karekare language, Kare-Kare are also spoken. The postal code of the area is 760. The northeasterly line of equal latitude 14°N and longitude 14°E passes through the LGA about 6 km to the southeast of the town of Dukku. Bauchi State
Bauchi State (Fula: ''Leydi Bauchi'' 𞤤𞤫𞤴𞤣𞤭 𞤦𞤢𞤵𞤷𞥅𞤭) is a state in the North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered by Kano and Jigawa to the north, Taraba and Plateau to the south, Gombe and Yobe to the east, and Kaduna to the west. Alhaji Abubakar Habu Hashidu (10 April 1944 – 27 July 2018) was a Nigerian politician and former governor of Gombe State, Nigeria under the platform of All People's Party (APP) from May 1999 to May 2003. Hashidu was the minister of Water Resources as well as a minister of Agriculture and Rural Development during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. He was also a member of the Vision 2010 committee set up by General Sani Abacha to chart a developmental road-map for the country. The Gombe Emirate (Fula: Lamurde Gombe 𞤤𞤢𞤥𞤮𞤪𞤣𞤫 𞤺𞤮𞤥𞤥𞤦𞤫) is a traditional state in Nigeria that roughly corresponds in area to the modern Gombe State. Gombe state also contains the emirates of Dukku, Deba, Akko, Yamaltu, Pindiga, Gona , Kaltungo, Billiri, Nafada and Funakaye. The current Emir of Gombe is Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, who acceded on 6 June 2014.
