Dude Huge
Cliff Bleszinski (; born February 12, 1975), popularly known as CliffyB, is an American video game designer, known for his work in the development of the ''Unreal (video game series), Unreal'' and ''Gears of War'' series. After working at Epic Games from 1992 to 2012, he co-founded Boss Key Productions in 2014. Career Bleszinski's first game was ''The Palace of Deceit'', an adventure title he started at the age of 15. Programmed in Visual Basic (classic), Visual Basic, its second version came out when he was 16. Epic Games (1992–2012) Bleszinski got his start at Epic Games in 1992, after submitting his game ''Dare to Dream'' to the company's CEO, Tim Sweeney (game developer), Tim Sweeney. The original Visual Basic (also referred to as Classic Visual Basic) is a third-generation event-driven programming language from Microsoft known for its Component Object Model (COM) programming model first released in 1991 and declared legacy during 2008. Microsoft intended Visual Basic to be relatively easy to learn and use. ''Rune'' is an action-adventure video game developed by Human Head Studios which was released in 2000. The game is based on Ragnarok, showing the conflict between the Gods Odin and Loki and the buildup to Ragnarok. Built on the Unreal Engine, the game casts the player as Ragnar, a young Viking warrior whose mettle is tested when Loki and his evil allies plot to destroy the world and bring about Ragnarok. Upon release, ''Rune'' received generally positive reviews. A standalone expansion pack for the game, '' Rune: Halls of Valhalla'', was released in 2001. Arjan Brussee
Arjan Brussee (born 1972) is a Dutch video game programmer and entrepreneur. He was the main coder of the first two ''Jazz Jackrabbit'' games and co-founded Guerrilla Games and Boss Key Productions. He is often credited with being the first successful Dutch game developer. Career Brussee was a member of the demoscene group Ultra Force, where he coded ''Vectordemo'', one of the first demos with 3D imagery on IBM PC compatibles. Demoscene
The demoscene is an international computer art subculture focused on producing demos: self-contained, sometimes extremely small, computer programs that produce audiovisual presentations. The purpose of a demo is to show off programming, visual art, and musical skills. Demos and other demoscene productions (graphics, music, videos, games) are shared at festivals known as demoparties, voted on by those who attend and released online. The scene started with the home computer revolution of the early 1980s, and the subsequent advent of software cracking. Crackers altered the code of video games to remove copy protection, claiming credit by adding introduction screens of their own (" cracktros").
