Druzhby Narodiv (Kyiv Metro)
Druzhby Narodiv or Friendship of Peoples ( ua, Дружби Народів, , named after the road above the station) is a station of Kyiv Metro's Syretsko-Pecherska Line. It is situated between Pecherska and Vydubychi stations. This station was opened on 30 December 1991. Druzhby Narodiv station was designed by architects Alyoshkin and Krushynskiy. It is a deep level station. The station is connected by escalators with a passenger tunnel situated under Druzhby Narodiv boulevard. Druzhby Narodiv station operates from 05:43 to 00:12. On Friday 13 January 2023 the Kyiv City Council announced the metro station would be renamed. In a poll organised by them Kyiv residents cast more than 100,000 votes for the renaming of seven city objects, including this and the metro station Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho. Pecherskyi District
Pecherskyi District ( uk, Печерський район) is an Urban districts of Ukraine, urban district of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It lies within the eponymous historical neighborhood, while also including some other historical areas. The Pechersk ( uk, Печерськ, ) neighborhood is located on the hills adjoining the right bank of the Dnieper. These two geographical entities are often confused with each other. The Pecherskyi District can be considered to be the very heart of Ukraine. The M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden ( uk, Національний ботанічний сад імені М.М. Гришка, ''Natsionalnyi botanichnyi sad im. M.M.Hryshka'') is located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden is a botanical garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It is named after the Soviet botanist Mykola Hryshko who was born in Poltava. Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho ( uk, Площа Льва Толстого, ) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 19 December 1981, and is named after the writer Leo Tolstoy (who visited Kyiv only once). It was designed by N.A. Levchuk and V.B. Zhezheryn. The station is located deep underground and consists of a central hall with arcades in the walls. The central hall has been covered with orange-coloured marble and is lit by chandeliers and decorative lamps placed on the walls. Passenger tunnels connect the station to the Leo Tolstoy Square and another street. The station forms a station complex with a transfer tunnel with the adjoining Palats Sportu station on the Syretsko-Pecherska Line.
