Doğuş Media Group (''Doğuş Yayın Grubu'') is a Turkish media conglomerate, part of the Doğuş Group conglomerate. Its properties include the news channel NTV (since 1999) and the entertainment channel Star TV (since 2011). From 2009 to 2013 it published history magazine '' NTV Tarih''. On 27 January, Doğuş Media Group submitted an application to the European Broadcasting Union for its flagship channel Star TV. Kanal D
Kanal D, also known as Channel D, is a nationwide television channel in Turkey and part of Demirören Group. It was founded by Ayhan Şahenk and Aydın Doğan in 1993. The network also runs an international channel, Euro D which is available online, and had the first high definition channel in Turkey, Kanal D HD. The text 'KANAL D' is not displayed in its Turkish broadcast. Only the blue earth section of the logo is displayed throughout commercial sections.Turkish Radio Law requires TV broadcasters have distinct logos during regular content and commercials. These logos serve as call signs of the station. Public service clips can be shown with either logo. Kanal D is broadcast via satellite to 27 countries. TMSF
The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey ( tr, Tasarruf Mevduatı Sigorta Fonu), a.k.a. TMSF in abbreviated form, is the governing body concerned with matters of fund management and insurance in the Turkish banking system. The body was founded in 1933 with the name Deposit Protection Act ( tr, Mevduatı Koruma Kanunu). In 1960, the name was changed to Bankalar Tasfiye Fonu ( tr, Bankalar Tasfiye Fonu). The current name was adopted in 1983. TMSF is also involved in the media industry, and owns at least one asset each for every newspaper, pay television, television and radio station. In 2013, TMSF acquired some assets from Çukurova Media Group after the company was forced to sell due to tax debts. Çukurova () or the Cilician Plain (''Cilicia Pedias'' in antiquity), is a large fertile plain in the Cilicia region of southern Turkey. CNBC-e was a Turkish free-to-air television channel operated in Turkey by CNBC Europe and the NTV (Turkey), NTV Group. The channel shares its name with a co-owned magazine about CNBC-e. Dinç Bilgin
Dinç Bilgin (born 1940) is a Turkish businessman who built up a media empire which was voluntarily handed over to the Turkish government in 2008 over alleged financial irregularities relating to Etibank. These companies were later sold by TMSF for $ 1.1 Billion.
