Dovid Grossman
Dovid Grossman (1946 – 5 February 2018) was a well-known Talmudic lecturer and Talmid Chochom who disseminated Torah worldwide. Biography Rabbi Tuvia Goldstein, his 12th grade rebbi (teacher) in Rabbi Jacob Joseph School, encouraged Grossman to enroll in the Talmudical Yeshiva of Philadelphia after high school. Grossman studied under Rabbi Elya Svei and Rabbi Shmuel Kamenetsky. While en route to Israel, he also learned one Yeshiva#Academic year, Elul zman in a branch of the Novardok yeshiva in France. In Israel, he joined Mir yeshiva (Jerusalem), Yeshiva Mir in Jerusalem, where he became a student of its Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz. In Jerusalem, Grossman developed a personal relationship with Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, a son of Rabbi Yitzchak Zev Soloveitchik. New York State Route 440 (NY 440) is a state highway located entirely on Staten Island in New York City. The route acts as a connector between the two segments of New Jersey Route 440, running from the Staten Island community of Richmond Valley in the south to Port Richmond in the north. NY 440 is connected to the two New Jersey segments by the Outerbridge Crossing to the south and the Bayonne Bridge to the north. It is one of several signed New York State routes that are not connected to any others in the state, and one of only two NYS routes ( NY 426 being the other) that is the middle section of another state's highway bearing the same number. Valley Village is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles, located within the San Fernando Valley. History Founding According to Elke Garman, co-president of the Valley Village Homeowners Association in 1991, the history of Valley Village went back to the 1930s, when workers at nearby motion picture studios built houses there. The iPod is a discontinued series of portable media players and multi-purpose mobile devices designed and marketed by Apple Inc. Daf Yomi
''Daf Yomi'' ( he, דף יומי, ''Daf Yomi'', "page of the day" or "daily folio") is a daily regimen of learning the Oral Torah and its commentaries (also known as the Gemara), in which each of the 2,711 pages of the Babylonian Talmud is covered in sequence. A ''daf'', or ''blatt'' in Yiddish, consists of both sides of the page. Under this regimen, the entire Talmud is completed, one day at a time, in a cycle of approximately seven and a half years. Tens of thousands of Jews worldwide study in the Daf Yomi program, and over 300,000 participate in the Siyum HaShas, an event celebrating the culmination of the cycle of learning. Torah
The Torah (; hbo, ''Tōrā'', "Instruction", "Teaching" or "Law") is the compilation of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, namely the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Yeshiva Gedolah of Los Angeles (YGLA), also known in English as Michael Diller High School, is a Haredi Jewish high school located in the Fairfax District, Los Angeles. It was established in 1978. The current Dean and Rosh Yeshiva is Rabbi Eliezer Gross. The executive director and Administrator is Rabbi Yossi Gross, one of the Rosh Yeshiva's sons; the school's Secular Studies Principal is Rabbi Shmuel Baruch Manne.
