Doris Soliz
Doris Soliz (born 2 March 1958) is an Ecuador, Ecuadorian politician who has been a Government minister and Executive Secretary of Alianza País. Life Soliz was born in Cuenca, Ecuador, Cuenca in 1958. From 2000 to 2002 she was Vice Mayor of Cuenca. In 2003, during the government of Lucio Gutiérrez, she was Minister of Tourism. In 2011 in the power struggle that saw Rafael Correa take over the leadership of the Alianza Pais party, a National board was created. Soliz was one of the 22 members of that board which included Irina Cabezas, Nancy Morocho, María Luisa Moreno, Dora Aguirre , Jorge Loor, Gabriela Rivadeneira and Patricia Sarzoza. She had been the Coordinating Minister of Politics and Decentralized Autonomous Governments but in November 2011 that positio was taken by Betty Tola. Diana Salazar Méndez (born 5 June 1981, Ibarra, Ecuador) is an Ecuadorian jurist and lawyer, and the current Attorney-General of Ecuador. She was said to be leading the country's fight against "narcopolitics" in January 2024. Early life and education Salazar spent her childhood in her native Ibarra, moving to Quito at age 16 with family. She was raised solely by her mother Olivia Méndez, an educational psychologist, along with three siblings. She is of Afro-Ecuadorian descent. Ana Beatriz "Betty" Tola Bermeo (born December 22, 1965) is an Ecuadorian politician and former minister. In June 2022 she was putting forward proposals for a feminist government in Ecuador. Life Tola was born in Cuenca in 1965. She was educated at the State University of Cuenca and the University of Chile where she gained her master's degree in Local Development. She also studied Gender and Public Policies in Argentina at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences. From 2001 to 2008 she was an member of the National Assembly. for the province of Azuay. PAIS Alliance is a centre-left social democratic political party in Ecuador. In 2016, it had 979,691 members. Founded by Rafael Correa in April 2006, the party soon found success amid the "pink tide" period in Latin America.
