Doli Gutta
Doli Gutta is a peak in the northern part of the Deccan Plateau. It is located at the border of Mulugu district in Telangana and Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh, India. Highest point in Telangana At 965 m Doli Gutta is the highest peak in the state of Telangana since the Chintoor and Vararamachandrapuram mandals of erstwhile Khammam district — where Pedda Konda rose to a height of 1360 m— were transferred to Andhra Pradesh. On 11 July 2014, the Lok Sabha approved a bill transferring seven mandals of Khammam district (Kukunoor, Velairpadu, Bhurgampadu, Chintoor, Kunavaram, Vararamachandrapuram and Bhadrachalam) back to Andhra Pradesh, in order to facilitate the Polavaram Irrigation project. Bhadrachalam town was given to Telangana during the division. Mulugu District
Mulugu district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. Its headquarters is the town of Mulugu. Mulugu district is the least populated district with 2,94,671 in the state. Mulugu district has the fewest mandals in the state with nine mandals. It currently borders Warangal, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar and Bhadradri districts and with the state of Chhattisgarh. Bijapur District, formerly known as Birjapur, is one of the 27 districts of the state of Chhattisgarh in central India. It is one of the two new districts created on May 11, 2007. Khammam District
Khammam district is a district in the eastern region of the Indian state of Telangana. The city of Khammam is the district headquarters. The district shares boundaries with Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri districts and with Eluru and NTR districts in Andhra pradesh state. History Paleolithic man probably roamed around the areas of lower Godavari valley and the surroundings of Bhadrachalam, Kothagudem, Wyra, Sathupally and Paloncha Taluks in the district. Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Polavaram Project
The ''Polavaram Project'' is an under construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the Eluru District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. The project has been accorded National Project of India, National project status by the Government of India, Central Government of India. Its reservoir back water spreads up to the Dummugudem Lift Irrigation Scheme, Dummugudem Anicut (i.e. approx 150 km back from Polavaram dam on main river side) and approx 115 km on Sabari River side. Thus back water spreads into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha States.
