Divya Maderna
Divya Maderna is an Indian politician from Rajasthan. She is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) and was elected as MLA of the Osian constituency in the 2018 elections. Life Maderna is the daughter of government minister Mahipal Maderna and Leela Maderna. Her grandfather Parasram Maderna also worked in politics, serving as a cabinet minister in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Maderna holds a post-graduate degree in economics from the University of Nottingham, England. In 2010, at the age of 26, she successfully contested the District councilpolls in Osian, Jodhpur. Mahipal Maderna
Mahipal Maderna (5 March 1952 – 17 October 2021) was an Indian politician from Rajasthan, a member of Indian National Congress. He served as the Water Resources Minister of Rajasthan in Gehlot ministry. Biography Mahipal Maderna was born to a farming family of Lakshman nagar on 5 March 1952 . His father Parasram Maderna served as a cabinet minister in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He was educated as a lawyer, and held an LL.B. degree. Like his father, he joined the Indian National Congress and entered politics. Maderna was elected as the chief of Jodhpur Zilla Parishad in 1981, 1988, 1994 and 2000. On 5 December 2003, he was elected to the 12th State Legislative Assembly from Bhopalgarh. He was elected to the 13th State Legislative Assembly from Osian, Jodhpur. Osian, Jodhpur
Osian (also spelt Osiyan) is an ancient town located in the Jodhpur District of Rajasthan state in western India. It is an oasis in the Thar Desert. The town is a panchayat village and the headquarters for Osian tehsil. It lies by road north of the district headquarters at Jodhpur, on a diversion off the main Jodhpur – Bikaner Highway. The under-construction Amritsar Jamnagar Expressway passes through this town. Osian is famous as home to the cluster of ruined Hindu and Jain temples dating from the 8th to 12th centuries. The city was a major religious centre of the kingdom of Marwar during the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty.
