Dionysis Makrydimitris ( el, Διονύσης Μακρυδημήτρης; born 26 January 1985) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a defender or a defensive midfielder for Super League 2 club Rodos, for which he is captain. Career Born in Rhodes, Makrydimitris began playing football with local side Rodos F.C. in the Delta Ethniki. Rhodes (; el, Ρόδος , translit=Ródos ) is the largest and the historical capital of the Dodecanese islands of Greece. Administratively, the island forms a separate municipality within the Rhodes regional unit, which is part of the South Aegean administrative region. The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. The Super League Greece 2 ( el, Ελληνική Σούπερ Λίγκα 2) is the 28 team two-group second division of professional football in Greece, being a feeder-league to the top-level Super League usually played from September to May.
