Dinizia Excelsa
''Dinizia excelsa'' is a South American canopy- emergent tropical rainforest tree species in the family Fabaceae, native to primarily Brazil and Guyana. In Portuguese it is known as angelim-vermelho, angelim, angelim-pedra, and paricá, or sometimes angelim-falso, faveira, faveira-dura, faveira-ferro or faveiro-do-grande. In Trio it is called awaraimë. In Wapisiana it is called parakwa. Description It is the tallest-growing species in the pea family, Fabaceae and one of the tallest tropical tree species in any family, reaching and taller. The unarmed trunk is cylindrical, the bole of larger specimens 15–22.5 m, up to 3 m in diameter at soil level. Adolpho Ducke
Adolpho Ducke (October 19, 1876 – January 5, 1959), (also referred to as Adolfo Ducke and occasionally misspelled "Duque"), was a notable entomologist, botanist and ethnographer specializing in Amazonia. According to family records, he was an ethnic German with roots in Trieste Austro-Hungary (now in Italy). German was his first language; that is, the German commonly spoken in Trieste in the 19th century. Most of his books were written in German. Recruited by Emílio Goeldi, Ducke began his work in Amazônia as an entomologist for the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, but due to the influence of botanists Jacques Hüber and Paul Le Cointe, he switched to botany. He traveled throughout Amazônia to study the complicated tree system of the rainforest. Almeirim, Pará
Almeirim is a city on the Amazon and the northernmost municipality in the Brazilian state of Pará. It is also the fourth largest municipality in that state and the eighth largest in Brazil (by area). The municipality is crossed by the Equator. History Almeirim was first inhabited by the Amerindians. Manoel da Mota e Siqueira constructed the Paru Fort which was designated a village in 1758, and named Almerim. In 1835, the Cabanagem Revolt started in Almeirim which resulted in widespread devastation. In 1890, Almeirim became an independent municipality. The Santo Antonio do Jari hydroelectric system is located on the Jari River and provides 373.4 MW of hydro electricity. Construction began in 2011 and was completed in 2014. Jari River
The Jari River, or Jary River ( pt, Rio Jari), is a northern tributary of the Amazon River on the border between the states of Pará and Amapá in northeastern Brazil. It is in the most downstream regions of the Amazon Basin and borders the Guiana Highlands and the Guianas to the northwest. Course The river flows through the Uatuma-Trombetas moist forests ecoregion. The source of the Jari is in the south of the Tumuk Humak Mountains, and its mouth is at the Amazon River between the municipalities of Almeirim in Pará and Vitória do Jari in Amapá. Acre (state)

Tocantins () is one of the 26 states of Brazil. It is the newest state, formed in 1988 and encompassing what had formerly been the northern two-fifths of the state of Goiás.
