Digital Park
Digital Park is a complex of seven modern office buildings located in the Bratislava district Petržalka on Einsteinova Street near the highway D1 (section Viedenská cesta - Prístavný most) and the shopping center Aupark on the opposite side. The main building is connected with Aupark by a footbridge over the highway; it connects the two buildings on their second floors. Project There was also a high-rise building in the original project but it was changed after the financial group Penta had entered the project. This and other changes made the area less filled and the available space will be used for an artificial lake and a park. The construction of the park proceeded in stages. During the years 2005 and 2006, the main 9-floor building was built, the remaining buildings were constructed in the following years. Petržalka
Petržalka (; german: Engerau / Audorf; hu, Pozsonyligetfalu) is the largest borough of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Situated on the right bank of the river Danube, the area shares a land border with Austria, and is home to around 100,000 people. Names and etymology The German name of the village ''Engerau'' (1654) derives from the ethnic name of Hungarians and comes from older placenames ''Mogorsciget'' ("Hungarian Island", 1225) and ''Ungerau'' ("Hungarian floodplain", 1509). Motorway D1 (Slovakia)
The D1 is a east-west motorway ( sk, diaľnica) in Slovakia. Its route is Bratislava ( D2/ D4) - Trnava ( R1) - Trenčín ( R2) - Púchov ( R6) - Žilina ( D3) - Martin ( R3) Ruzomberok ( R3) - Poprad - Prešov ( R4) - Košice (R4) - Michalovce - SK/ UA border. It is the main motorway in Slovakia as well as being the longest and busiest motorway in Slovakia. It forms part of the following European routes: E50, E58, E75, E571 and of the V.A Pan-European corridor (Trieste) - Bratislava - Žilina - Košice - Uzhorod - (Lviv) With the exception of sections in Bratislava a vignette is required to use the motorway. Chronology The first plans to connect Prague to Slovakia and Mukachevo in today's Zakarpattia Oblast in Ukraine, which was part of Czechoslovakia at that time, were in the 1930s. Prístavný Most
Prístavný most (literally ''Harbour Bridge'', until 1993 known as Most hrdinov Dukly or ''Dukla Heroes' Bridge'') is a double-floor motorway-railroad truss bridge over the Danube in Bratislava, Slovakia, near the Port of Bratislava. It lies on the D1 motorway. It is a 599 m long (1080 m with access roads) bridge (over the Danube part), and was built between 1977 and 1985. There are also pathways for pedestrians and cyclists on the bridge. Today, the bridge suffers from heavy traffic because it is a route for many commuters from Petržalka, and due to the lack of an outer circle around the city it is also a route for transfer traffic. The situation improved slightly after the opening of the nearby Apollo Bridge in 2005. Traffic jams are common around the bridge and they occur regularly at the end of each week and after traffic accidents. Aupark
:''Aupark was also a former name of Sad Janka Kráľa public park.'' Aupark is a shopping centre (shopping mall and entertainment centre) in the Petržalka borough of Bratislava, Slovakia. It was the second major modern shopping centre built in Bratislava, Polus City Center being the first. At the time it opened on 15 November 2001, it was the biggest shopping mall in Slovakia with total shopping space of 44,000 m². Aupark is situated next to Nový most bridge, beside Sad Janka Kráľa public park, formerly known also as ''Aupark'', not far from the river Danube. It is accessible by car or public bus.
