Digger (band)
Digger is an American pop punk band from Pennsylvania, signed to Hopeless Records. History Digger formed in the Lehigh Valley in the mid-1990s and signed to Hopeless Records in 1996. Upon the event of Digger's live recording being played on WMUH the word of the band spread quickly, which led to the band's sign to Hopeless Records. The band released their first LP, ''Powerbait'', and toured until the band came back to the studio to record ''The Promise of an Uncertain Future''. The band became a three piece in this era, and launched a world tour. Then ''Monte Carlo'' was released as a follow-up. Not very long afterward, Digger released the '' Trainwreck EP''. Then after another member change, Digger released what would be their last full album, '' Keystone''. The departure of the group's bassist and guitarist resulted in their canceling their tour to support the album. The Lehigh Valley (), known colloquially as The Valley, is a geographic region formed by the Lehigh River in Lehigh County and Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania. Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. Hopeless Records
Hopeless Records is an American independent record label in Van Nuys, California. History Hopeless Records was founded in 1993 by Louis Posen. The label's artists are generally considered to fall under the genres of punk rock, pop punk, post-hardcore, and alternative rock, but some also include elements of heavy metal. Some of their best-known artists include All Time Low, Sum 41, Neck Deep, Avenged Sevenfold, Thrice, Yellowcard, Anarbor, Taking Back Sunday, Silverstein, We Are the In Crowd, Bayside, the Used, the Wonder Years, the Human Abstract and Enter Shikari. A train wreck, train collision, train accident or train crash is a type of disaster involving one or more trains. ''Keystone'' is the twenty-fifth album by trumpeter Dave Douglas. It was released on the Greenleaf label in 2005 and features performances by Douglas, Jamie Saft, DJ Olive, Gene Lake, Marcus Strickland, and Brad Jones. The music was written to accompany Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle's silent films and a DVD containing the complete film ''Fatty and Mabel Adrift'' (1916) and a collage of Arbuckle's scenes set to "Just Another Murder" is included with the album. Reception The Allmusic review awarded the album 4 stars stating "''Keystone'' is an excellent, brave, and exciting offering from a man whose talent and vision are perfectly balanced". PureVolume (formerly Unborn Media) was a website for uploading and streaming of music files, the first independently run of its type. PureVolume was created by Unborn Media, Inc; Mitchell Pavao; Brett Woitunski; and Nate Hudson, all from the University of Massachusetts. PureVolume is a website for the discovery and promotion of new music and emerging artists. The mission was to give artists a new promotion tool. Each artist has a profile that typically contains basic info, updates, photos, shows and music for streaming. Artists have the option of making each of their songs available for free download. Listeners and fans are also able to create profiles to interact with artists and each other, as well as track and share music they like. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands.
