Diego Romanini
Diego Romanini (born 30 December 1978 in Pietrasanta) is an Italian auto racing driver. He has competed in the World Touring Car Championship and was the Austria Formula 3 Cup champion in 2001 and 2003. Career After starting his career in karting, he first started circuit racing in 1998 with Italian Formula Renault, before racing in the Italian Formula Campus Series. In 2000 he competed in Austrian Formula Three, becoming champion in 2001. He spent one year in the British Formula 3 Championship, then returned to the Austrian series in 2003, where he regained his title. Also that year, he won the Centraleurop Formula Three Championship, and drove in the German Formula Three Championship. 2004 saw him first drive in Touring cars, with a season in the German Touring Car Challenge, finishing sixth on points. Pietrasanta
Pietrasanta is a town and ''comune'' on the coast of northern Tuscany in Italy, in the province of Lucca. Pietrasanta is part of Versilia, on the last foothills of the Apuan Alps, about north of Pisa. The town is located off the coast, where the ''frazione'' of Marina di Pietrasanta is located. It lies on the main road and rail link from Pisa to Genova, just north of Viareggio. History The town has Roman origins and part of the Roman wall still exists. The medieval town was founded in 1255 upon the pre-existing "Rocca di Sala" fortress of the Lombards by Luca Guiscardo da Pietrasanta, from whom it got its name. Wiechers-Sport is a German auto racing team which is based in Nienburg. The team was first established in 1999, competing in German touring cars. The team currently competes in the World Touring Car Championship. ADAC Procar Series
The Deutsche Tourenwagen Cup (DTC, formerly known as ADAC Procar Series) was a yearly motorsport series in Germany and some surrounding countries. The series has been running since 1995 and was folded in 2017. Current status Currently the DTC is the highest level of German motorsport that runs cars to the Super 2000 regulations used in World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). 2002 French Formula Three Season
The 2002 French Formula Three season was the 35th and the final French Formula Three Championship season. It began on 31 March at Nogaro and ended on 20 October at Magny-Cours after fourteen races. Tristan Gommendy of ASM won races at Lédenon, Albi, Le Mans, Magny-Cours and had another five podiums and ultimately clinched the title. He finished 17 points clear of ARTA/Signature driver Renaud Derlot, who won Nogaro, Lédenon and Magny-Cours races. Third place went to Gommendy's teammate Olivier Pla, who finished on the first position at Croix-en-Ternois and Le Mans. Bruno Besson, Derek Hayes and Yuji Ide were another race winners. The 2009 FIA GT Championship season was the thirteenth and final season of the FIA GT Championship for grand tourer cars competing in the GT1 and GT2 categories.
