2010 Superstars Series Season
The 2010 Superstars Series season was the seventh year of the Superstars Series, an Italian-based touring car racing series, and the fourth year of the International Superstars Series. The season began at Monza on March 28, and finished at Kyalami on November 28, after 10 rounds. The season was made up of two different drivers championships, the International Superstars Series and the Campionato Italiano Superstars, both achieved by Thomas Biagi driving for BMW. Superstars Series
The Superstars International Series was a production-based touring car racing championship held between 2004 and 2013. It was managed by the "Superstars World of Racing SpA", SWR, a company of FG GROUP with headquarters in Rome and sanctioned by the Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) and the Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (CSAI). FG GROUP, led by Maurizio Flammini, is famous for having promoted the FIM World Superbike Championship from its beginnings in 1988 until its sale to Infront Sports & Media in 2007. After the shutdown of the promoter SWR in late 2013, the competition has been re-branded as 2014 EuroV8 Series, EuroV8 Series and organized by FG Group and ATT (Associazione Team Top cars). SuperTouringSeries is going to be performed by ''Pan Asia Racing Enterprise Ltd. (PARE Ltd)'' in 2015. However, it has been cancelled. Massimo "Max" Pigoli (born 23 February 1958 in Menaggio) is an Italian auto racing driver. He presently competes in the Italian Superstars Series. Career Most of his career has been spent in touring car racing. He was independent champion in the Italian Superturismo Championship The Italian Superturismo Championship (Campionato Italiano Superturismo) is Italy's national motorsport series for touring cars. BMW 5 Series (E60)
The fifth generation of the BMW 5 Series executive cars consists of the BMW E60 (sedan version) and BMW E61 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring'). The E60/E61 generation was produced by BMW from 2003 to 2010 and is often collectively referred to as the E60. The E60 generation introduced various new electronic features, including the iDrive infotainment system, head-up display, active cruise control, active steering, adaptive headlights, night vision, lane departure warning and voice control. Kristian Ghedina (; born 20 November 1969) is an Italian alpine skiing coach and former competitive racer. His 13 victories are the second most by an Italian downhill specialist in World Cup history: the first is Dominik Paris with 21 victories. He is currently an auto racer. Biography Ghedina was born in Cortina d'Ampezzo in the province of Belluno, and his mother tongue is Ladin. He studied in Innsbruck and made his World Cup debut in 1989. Fabrizio Giovanardi (born 14 December 1966 in Sassuolo) is an Italian racing driver. During his career he has won ten touring car titles, including European and British crowns making him the most successful touring car driver worldwide.
