DidikTV KPM
TV Pendidikan, also abbreviated as TVP (known as DidikTV KPM (under Media Prima Berhad)) is a Malaysian educational television network owned, produced and operated by Ministry of Education. The network will be airing educational programming for various school subjects. The network does not air advertisements during program break times, instead it is only aired after the end of programs. Most of adverts aired on the network were primarily from government agencies. The network's affiliates has been changed several times, beginning with RTM (1972–1999), Astro (2000–2006), and TV9 (2007–2008), prior to 2020 relaunch. In October 2018, the then-Education Minister Maszlee Malik announced that TV Pendidikan would be relaunched after years of long absence. The move persisted even with the change in Malaysian administration as the Ministry plans to take over most of the ntv7's timeslot under a rebrand as DidikTV KPM on 17 February 2021. MYTV Broadcasting or MYTV is a Malaysian television broadcasting company providing free digital terrestrial television (DTT) in the country, considered a first of its kind in the country. The DTT service is officially branded as myFreeview since August 2015, though the legal name of the company remained unchanged A billion MYR deal have been signed with Telekom Malaysia to distribute the services. TV9 (spelled as ''tivi sembilan'') is a Malaysian free-to-air television network launched on 22 April 2006 as a subsidiary of Media Prima, Media Prima Berhad. It airs programming that tends mostly towards the Malay demographic. The channel formerly existed as Channel 9 from 9 September 2003 until 3 February 2005 due to financial difficulties faced by the operator. TV9 started broadcasting 24 hours a day on 6 May 2019. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems.
