Diana Ordóñez
Diana Rosario Ordóñez Torres (born 26 September 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for National Women's Soccer League club Houston Dash. Born in the United States, she represents the Mexico national team. Early life Ordóñez was born in Riverside, California, United States, to an Ecuadorian father and an American mother of Mexican descent. She was the youngest of five children. While still a small child, the family moved to Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. She played soccer for the FC Dallas youth team from 2010 to 2019, winning the Elite Clubs National League U-16 championship in 2017. Ordóñez initially committed to play college soccer at Texas A&M University, but was urged instead to play at the University of Virginia by a friend, soccer player Taryn Torres. The Houston Dash is a professional women's soccer team based in Houston, Texas. It joined the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in the 2014 season, and is affiliated with the MLS team Houston Dynamo FC. History Establishment On November 19, 2013, the Houston Dynamo began talks in the initial stages with the intention of bringing a top flight women's professional soccer franchise to Houston. The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is a professional women's soccer league at the top of the United States league system. It is owned by the teams and, until 2020, was under a management contract with the United States Soccer Federation. The NWSL was established in 2012 as the successor to Women's Professional Soccer (WPS; 2007–2012), which was itself the successor to Women's United Soccer Association (2001–2003). The Chile women's national football team represents Chile in international women's football. It is administered by the Federación de Fútbol de Chile and is a member of CONMEBOL.
