Dharma Pathini (1986 Film)
''Dharma Pathini'' () is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language legal drama film, directed by Ameerjan, starring Karthik and Jeevitha. The film was remade in Telugu as '' Dharmapatni'' and in Hindi as ''Jawab Hum Denge''. Plot Prem Kumar is an honest police inspector who comes in conflict with a dangerous thug named DJ. He falls in love with Vidhya who joins as Sub-Inspector of Police in his station. They get married. Situations take a turn when Vidhya's brother-in-law is framed in a murder case. The rest of the story is how Prem Kumar and Vidhya tackle the case and reveal the true murderers. Ameerjan
Ameerjan was an Indian film director, who has directed Tamil films. He was primarily active in the 1984-1991 and is most noted for his work on films featuring actors Murali and Karthik. Career Ameerjan began his career as a protégé to director K. Balachander and then won critical acclaim for his directorial debut in 1984 with ''Poovilangu'', which starred actors Murali and Kuyili in the lead roles. He went on to direct more than 20 feature films, both in Tamil and Telugu, often collaborating with actors Murali and Karthik. Ameerjan also worked on a high-budget action film '' Siva'' (1989) featuring Rajinikanth as well as on socially relevant films such as '' Thulasi'' (1987). As opportunities declined, he began assisting K. Balachander when he started making television shows and also directed his own shows. Meenakshisundaram Ramasamy Viswanathan (1 July 1945 – 22 March 2020), best known by his stage name Visu, was an Indian writer, director, stage, film and television actor and talk-show host. Visu initially worked as an assistant to director K. Balachander until becoming a director himself. He later began acting, with his first film being ''Kudumbam Oru Kadambam'' (1981), directed by S. P. Muthuraman. Career He started his career as a theatre artist, working with Y. G. Parthasarathy's drama troupe. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. Hindōḷaṃ is a rāgam in Carnatic music (musical scale of South Indian classical music). It is an ''audava'' rāgam (or ''owdava'' rāgam, meaning pentatonic scale).
