Delfi (occasionally capitalized as DELFI) is a news website in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania providing daily news, ranging from gardening to politics. It ranks as one of the most popular websites among Baltic users. Delfi operates in the respective Baltic countries under the domain names delfi.ee, delfi.lv, and delfi.lt. Aside from versions in the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian languages, the company offers Russian language versions of its portal in all three countries. On 12 March 2012, Delfi started a Polish version under pl.delfi.lt. A year later an English version was added under en.delfi.lt. In March 2014 delfi.ua version was closed. In February 2016, most of the delfi.lt English-language version content were placed under a paywall to restrict access to most articles without a paid subscription, as the articles in this version of Delfi are supported by the Lithuania Tribune, which raised questions on implementing the paywall there. Delfi (chess)
Delfi is a Winboard/UCI chess engine written in Pascal designed by Italian chess programmer Fabio Cavicchio. It is designed to emulate a human playing style and is rated 2627 on the Chess Engines Grand Tournament. The latest released version is 5.4. Source code for version 5.1 is available. Technical details From its release page, Delfi does not use bitboards like Crafty, but uses 16 × 16 array of bytes for board presentation. It uses capture history heuristic and smart thinking time allocation, from 50% to 400% of the average time. When some moves seem equal in its evaluation, it makes random moves. Laguna Publishing was founded in 1998 in Belgrade and is one of the biggest publishing houses in Serbia with almost 400 publications a year. Since it was established, Laguna has published over 4.500 titles. History In early 1998, Dejan Papić, who was a computer programmer at the time, translated Terry Pratchett's ''The Colour of Magic'', so that his wife could read it in their native language. However, when he tried to acquire the rights for the title, he learned he couldn't do so as an individual and that he needed the help of a publishing house instead. Soon after that, in April 1998, Mr. Papić founded his own publishing house, Laguna. During its initial years, the publishing company faced a bombing, a social crisis and lack of funds, so it progressed at a slow pace. Delfi Limited, formerly Petra Foods, is a Singaporean confectionery manufacturer. History Delfi Limited was established in 1984 by John Chuang and his brothers as Petra Foods Pte Ltd.. In 2012, Petra Foods entered into an agreement with Barry Callebaut where the latter would acquire the cocoa ingredient business of the former. The acquisition was completed in 2013. In 2016, Petra Foods announced its intention to rename itself as Delfi Limited, after its main brand to mark a shift from focusing on cocoa ingredients to chocolate-based confectionery. Delfi-C3
Delfi-C3 is a CubeSat satellite constructed by students at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. It is a 3-unit CubeSat, and was launched at 03:53:42 on 28 April 2008, as part of the NLS-4 mission, aboard a PSLV rocket, from the Second Launch Pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in India. The launch was contracted by ISRO, through Antrix Corporation and UTIAS. The satellite's primary mission is technology demonstration and development. It is carrying new types of solar cells, a solar sensor for TNO Science and Industry, and a high-efficiency amateur radio transceiver experiment. Delfi-C3 does not contain batteries, as the experiments are dependent on the sun. She is the fourth Dutch Satellite, after ANS, IRAS and SLOSHSAT.
