Deichkind
Deichkind (, literally '' Dyke Child'') is a German electropunk band formed in Hamburg in 1997. Current members are “Kryptik Joe” alias Philipp Grütering (rapper/songwriter), Henning “DJ Phono” Besser (DJ), Sebastian “Porky” Dürre (rapper/songwriter) and Roland “Roy” Knauf (producer). Deichkind started with hip hop, later added elements of electronic dance music to its style. The band themselves call their music TechRap. As a combination of techno and rap music. The songs are often satirical and criticize consumerism and the performance-oriented society. History The band had its first success at the turn of the millennium with single ''Bon Voyage''. "Bon Voyage" is the first single from the debut studio album ''Bitte ziehen Sie durch'', by the Hamburg hip hop and electropunk band Deichkind, in cooperation with the German rapper Nina Tenge. Ferris MC
Sascha Reimann (born 2 October 1973 in Neuwied), better known by his stage name Ferris MC, is a German musician, rapper and actor. Biography Ferris spent his youth in Neumünster, Kiel, and then Bremen. A recurring theme of social exclusion is predominant in his music. He graduated from Hauptschule and served his apprenticeship as an auto mechanic. At the same time, he was a radio DJ and actor (e.g. Tatort). Together with Flowin Immo and DJ Pee, Ferris founded the Freaks Association Bremen (FAB), which, in the quickly-growing German hip hop scene, achieved success rather quickly. Bundesvision Song Contest 2005
The Bundesvision Song Contest 2005 was the first edition of the annual Bundesvision Song Contest musical event. The contest was held on 12 February 2005 at the König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The contest was hosted by Stefan Raab, Annette Frier, and Oliver Pocher in the green room. It was the first Germany-wide music competition in this format. The winner of the Bundesvision Song Contest 2005 was alternative pop band Juli with the song " Geile Zeit", representing Hessen. In second place were Fettes Brot representing Schleswig-Holstein, and third place to Sido with representing Berlin. 14 of the 16 states awarded themselves the maximum of 12 points, with North Rhine-Westphalia, and Rhineland-Palatinate, awarding themselves 10 points each. In music, a radio edit or radio mix is a modification, typically truncated or censored, intended to make a song more suitable for airplay, whether it be adjusted for length, profanity, subject matter, instrumentation, or form. Radio edits may also be used for commercial single versions, which may be denoted as the ''7" version'', as opposed to the '' 12" version'' which are extended versions of a song. The Bundesverband Musikindustrie (English: Federal Music Industry Association), or simply BVMI, represents the music industry in Germany. The association represents the interests of nearly 280 labels and music industry related enterprises, which comprise 90% of the music industry. Bundesverband Musikindustrie is a member of International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which is based in London, England. IFPI consists of music associations of 70 countries.
