Dean Reynolds (darts Player)
Matthew Francis Dean Reynolds (born 21 July 1992) is a Welsh former professional darts player. Career Reynolds' first Development Tour title came in 2014 by defeating Max Hopp 4–2. He also won the 16th event by edging past Josh Payne 4–3. Reynolds beat Ryan de Vreede 5–4 to claim the 2015 French Open title. He also took another Development Tour event with a 4–2 victory over Mike de Decker. In 2016, Reynolds enjoyed a breakthrough year. He qualified for the 2016 BDO World Championship and lost 3–0 to Glen Durrant. At the BDO World Trophy, he defeated Dave Cameron, Martin Adams and Danny Noppert before losing 11–9 to Peter Machin in the semi-finals. He had six tournament wins on the PDC Development Tour during the year guaranteeing him a PDC Tour Card for 2017 and 2018, but he later decided to remain in the BDO and his tour card was passed down to the next highest player on the Order Of Merit. Danny Noppert
Danny Noppert (born 31 December 1990) is a Dutch professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a former BDO World Darts Championship finalist, as well as being a Finder Darts Masters champion in 2017, before switching to the PDC in 2018, where he won the 2022 UK Open. Career BDO In 2013, Noppert reached the televised stages of the Winmau World Masters. Then he beat Jeffrey de Graaf and Dennis Nilsson 3–0 to book his places in quarter-final, where he was beaten 3–1 by Darryl Fitton. He also made his debut at the Zuiderduin Masters. After beating Darryl Fitton 5–4 in his first match, he lost to Tony O'Shea 5–3 in the second game to be knocked out in the group stages. The 2016 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2016. It took place from 1–4 December at the Lakeside Country Club, which hosted the stage element of the event for the first time. The 2015 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2015. It took place from 8–11 October at the Hull City Hall, which hosted the stage element of the event for the fourth year. Men's Seeds The seedings were finalised on 31 August. Winmau World Masters
The World Masters is one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the BDO/WDF tournaments, which began in 1974. The tournament is sponsored by darts board manufacturer, Winmau. The World Masters was unusual in darts in that its sets are the best of 3 legs (first to 2) rather than the standard best of 5 legs (first to 3). It was previously the final leg of the BDO's Grand Slam title of televised majors, along with the BDO World Darts Championship, International Darts League and World Darts Trophy, until the latter two tournaments were axed in 2008. The champion is referred to as the World Master. After the collapse of the British Darts Organisation in September 2020, the World Darts Federation announced plans to launch the WDF World Masters. 2018 BDO World Trophy
The 2018 BDO World Trophy was a major darts tournament run by the British Darts Organisation. It was host between 30 May and 3 June 2018 at Preston Guild Hall, Preston, England. Peter Machin and Aileen de Graaf were defending their champions, after beating Martin Phillips (10–8) and Anastasia Dobromyslova (6–2) respectively in the final of last year's edition. Machin lost to Michael Unterbuchner 7–1 in the Quarter-finals. De Graaf lost in the First round 4–3 to Maria O'Brien. Unterbuchner went on to lose in the final of the men’s event to Glen Durrant (10–7), who has now completed the ‘triple crown’ of BDO majors. The 2017 BDO World Trophy was a major darts tournament run by the British Darts Organisation. It was hosted between 26–29 May 2017 at Memo Arts Centre, Barry, Wales. BDO World Darts Championship
The WDF World Darts Championship is a world championship competition in darts, organised by the World Darts Federation. It would previously organised by the British Darts Organisation (BDO), who held it 43 times from 1978 to 2020. The championship was first held at the Heart of the Midlands Nightclub in the English city of Nottingham. The following year it moved to the Jollees Cabaret Club, Stoke, where it stayed until 1985. From 1986 to 2019, it was held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. In 2020, the tournament was held at Indigo, part of the O2 entertainment district in London. Until the split in darts, it was the only World Darts Championship tournament. Jim Williams (born 27 July 1984) is a Welsh professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Williams first ever rose to prominence in October 2012 at the Winmau World Masters in Hull. There he beat four players in the preliminary rounds to reach the main stage, most notably defeating reigning Lakeside World Champion Christian Kist 3–2 in his final match. Once on stage, he beat established campaigners Jan Dekker 3–1 and Ross Montgomery 3–2 to reach the quarter-finals, before losing out to eventual champion Stephen Bunting by 3 sets to 1. Scott Waites
Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event. Career Waites' first career success came in February 2007 when he won the Dutch Open an event which attracted 2867 entries. Philip 'Pip' Blackwell (born 27 November 1974) is an English former professional darts player who plays in British Darts Organisation tournaments. Career Pip Blackwell started to play darts when he was 11. He joined the BDO Circuit in 2007 but had to wait for his first successes till 2014 when he four times reached the finals of BDO events the Muensterland Classic losing to Scott Mitchell, BDO Gold Cup losing to Wayne Warren, British Classic and the Swedish Open losing both to Alan Norris.
