Dean Macpherson
Dean William Macpherson (born 2 February 1985) is a South African Member of Parliament for the Official Opposition, the Democratic Alliance and Provincial Chairperson in KwaZulu-Natal. He served his first full term in the National Assembly from 2014 - 2019 and was re-elected to the National Assembly on 8 May 2019 to begin his second term. On the 27th of March 2021, he was elected as the Chairperson of the Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal. In 2020, he had a 64% committee attendance rate as a Member of Parliament (30 meetings out of 47). He was the Shadow Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry from 2014 to 2017 before being promoted to Shadow Minister for Trade and Industry from 2017 - 2019. Macpherson is from Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal and currently resides in Umhlanga. The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) was inaugurated in October 1995 as an independent chapter nine institution. Jessie Duarte
Yasmin "Jessie" Duarte (; 19 September 1953 – 17 July 2022) was a South African politician and acting secretary-general of the African National Congress. A longtime anti-apartheid activist, she served variously as a special assistant to Nelson Mandela, a member of the provincial cabinet (MEC) for Gauteng, as ambassador to Mozambique, and as spokesperson for the ANC, before assuming her post as Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC in 2012, until her death on 17 July 2022. Nhlakanipho Ntombela is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature since before 2014. He is also a longstanding member of the Provincial Executive Committee of the KwaZulu-Natal ANC, and in December 2021 he was elected Deputy Regional Chairperson of the ANC's Moses Mabhida branch in Umgungundlovu District. Radio 702
702 is a commercial FM radio station based in Johannesburg, South Africa, broadcasting on FM 92.7 and FM 106 to the greater Gauteng province. The station is also webcast via its website. It claims to be Johannesburg's number one news and talk station, offering news, sport, business and actuality programming and plenty of phone-in debates. The station itself was established in 1980 and was initially a young adult music station, moving to a talk format in 1988. During South Africa's apartheid era, 702 and Capital Radio 604, were the only independent sources of broadcast news. The station is owned by Primedia. Until 2006, 702 was broadcast only on 702 kHz AM. In March 2006, it won an application to move to the FM radio frequency, and the first FM broadcast took place on 24 July 2006.
