''De mujeres'' is a Venezuelan telenovela written by Isamar Hernández and produced by Radio Caracas Television in 1990. Mimí Lazo and Carlos Olivier starred as the protagonists. Plot The three Marcano sisters have to navigate through life while fighting a macho world in order to realise their own ideals and live more balanced, independent lives. Antonieta is a mother of two children and the dedicated wife to Luis Fernando, a womanizer whose infidelities are discovered after 17 years of marriage. Antonieta decides to ask for a divorce, but the issue becomes complicated with the family's economic problems and family pressures. Adela is a very strong but suspicious woman with a husband who hides a past that will be uncovered on the day of their wedding. Aurora, the youngest sister works as a journalist but has great fear towards men and intimacy. Mimí Lazo
Ana María Lazo, commonly known as Mimí Lazo, (born November 23, 1954 in Caracas) is a Venezuelan film, television and theatrical actress and producer. Her most notable role was in the 1996 monologue ''El Aplauso Va Por Dentro'' in which she toured all throughout South America and Europe. Biography Early life Mimí began her acting in the workshops of well known stage directors of Caracas in the mid-1970s. Later she received scholarships to study Scenic Arts in Italy and attended acting classes in the Actors Studio of New York. Career She began her acting career in the Venezuelan theatre performing adaptations of plays by William Shakespeare, such as ''Twelfth Night'', Arthur Miller's ''A View from the Bridge'', among others. Carlos Olivier
Carlos Olivier (''Carlos Raúl Fernández Olivier'') (26 January 195222 January 2007), was a Venezuelan actor, famous for his roles in telenovelas, including ''Leonela'', ''El País de las Mujeres'', ''Viva la Pepa'', '' Las González'', ''Engañada'', and ''Los Querendones''. Olivier was a member of the Factory of Young Actors of RCTV. During the five years that he lived in the United States, Olivier appeared in two episodes of the police TV series Miami Vice, hosted the TV show ''El Gran Evento con Carlos Olivier'' on Telemundo, and recorded two albums with producer Emilio Estefan. Olivier combined his passion for acting with the medicine. Carlos Olivier died of a cardiac arrest in Caracas. Biography Miguel Adolfo Cubas Contreras was born on December 2, 1964 in Caracas, Venezuela. He grew up in a conservative family. Cubas wanted to become a priest and he attended a Catholic seminar school with that purpose in mind, but he left the school after two years. Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network headquartered in the Caracas neighborhood of Quinta Crespo. It was sometimes referred to as the Canal de Bárcenas. Ileana Jacket (also Ileana Jacquet; born 30 January 1947) is a German-born Venezuelan actress. She made her debut in 1982 in the telenovela ''Jugando A Vivir'' playing Briggitte and has since participated in several telenovelas throughout Latin America. Jacket is the mother of actress Sonya Smith. Early life Jacket was born on 30 January 1947 in Leverkusen, Germany. Her father was born to his Finnish mother and French father, while her mother is a German born and raised in Argentina, fluent in Spanish.
