De Hoeve
De Hoeve is a village in the Dutch municipality of Weststellingwerf in Friesland. It is located in an agriculture area between Wolvega and Noordwolde. De Hoeve has approximately 410 inhabitants (2017). - Weststellingwerf municipality History De Hoeve is not a very old village. For the first time it was mentioned by its name in 1938. On a map of 1664 the territory was only heather. Shortly after that people built two farmhouses: an Oosterhoeve (East Hoeve) and a Westerhoeve (West Hoeve). A new map, drawn in 1718 shows both farmhouses. The area around it is also called Vinkegahoeve and Steggerdahoeve because they are in the neighbourhood of the small villages |

Steggerda
Steggerda ( fry, Steggerde) is a village of the Dutch municipality of Weststellingwerf. The village consists of one long stretch with housing and has a population of 1,049. The village was first mentioned in 1408 as Steggerden. The etymology is unknown. Steggerda is a Catholic enclave in a predominantly Protestant region. Vinkega ( fry, Finkegea) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 200 in 2017. The village was first mentioned in 1408 as Bennickegae. In 1542 to 1543, it became Finckega(e), and means "settlement of Finke". The Dutch Reformed church dates from 1899. Noordwolde ( fry, Noardwâlde) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 3,600 as of 2017. , the settlement to the south of Noordwolde is considered a separate village. There is a restored windmill in the village, ''Windlust''. Wolvega ( nds, Wolvege), ( fry, Wolvegea) is the largest town in the municipality of Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland (Fryslan), in the Netherlands. It had a population of around 13,090 in 2021. Wolvega is the capital and largest town of the municipality. History The village was first mentioned in 1218, and means "settlement of Wolf (person)."
