Davis Drive Rapidway
The Davis Drive Rapidway is a Canadian bus rapid transit system in Newmarket, Ontario, Newmarket, Ontario, built by Vivanext. The rapidway opened for service on November 29, 2015. The Viva Yellow service uses the rapidway. Total budget amount for the Davis Drive rapidway was , not including an additional in land acquisitions. The Davis Drive rapidway extends from Yonge Street in the west, to Huron Heights Drive in the east. In November 2009, pre-construction activities, such as utility relocation, planning and geotechnical investigations began for the Davis Drive rapidway. Additional pre-construction activities, such as soil testing, archaeological assessments, building demolition, and removal or relocation of light poles and signs continued through to the end of 2010. Viva service forms the spine for YRT's local bus service, providing seamless transit service across York Region with connections to northern Toronto. Newmarket Terminal is a bus terminal in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada operated by York Region Transit (YRT). It is located at 320 Eagle Street West at the intersection of Eagle Street West and Davis Drive. The facility has 447 parking spaces. Viva Yellow or the Davis Drive corridor line, is a Viva bus rapid transit line that serves Newmarket, Ontario, Canada on the Davis Drive Rapidway. This route is within York Region Transit's North Division, and is operated by Tok Transit under contract from York Region .
