Newmarket Terminal is a bus terminal in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada operated by York Region Transit (YRT). It is located at 320 Eagle Street West at the intersection of Eagle Street West and Davis Drive. The facility has 447 parking spaces. The Newmarket GO Train Station is located at Davis Drive about two kilometres to the east. The Newmarket Terminal includes a convenience store in its interior facility providing various amenities for transit riders. History In 1969, planning for commuter services resulted in the establishment of a bus terminal in Newmarket in 1970, from which commuters would be taken to the Richmond Hill GO Station to commute to Toronto. It was one of four terminals in the "GO North" commuter services expansion of GO Transit, the other three being located in Barrie, Aurora, and Richmond Hill. Oak Ridges, Ontario
Oak Ridges is an unincorporated community of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, and has been part of the city since 1971. It forms the northern portion of the municipality's boundary, where it borders Aurora. Located about 20 km north of the northern border of Toronto and about 35 km from Downtown Toronto, it has a population of 18,520 (2016). The community developed around Lake Wilcox, the largest lake in the area, and has continued to expand slowly since its annexation by the Town (now City) of Richmond Hill. Viva Yellow or the Davis Drive corridor line, is a Viva bus rapid transit line that serves Newmarket, Ontario, Canada on the Davis Drive Rapidway. This route is within York Region Transit's North Division, and is operated by Tok Transit under contract from York Region . Route description Viva Yellow runs east–west on Davis Drive between Yonge Street and Highway 404. The route is less than 6 kilometres long, the shortest line in the Viva system. Viva Blue, also known as the Finch/Richmond Hill/Newmarket line or the Yonge St. Corridor Line, is a line on the Viva bus rapid transit system in York Region, north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is operated by Tok Transit, under contract from York Region Transit. This is the busiest bus route in the York Region Transit network. List of stations There are 27 stations on the Viva Blue line. Viva service forms the spine for YRT's local bus service, providing seamless transit service across York Region with connections to northern Toronto.
