David Strijbos
Dave Strijbos (born 8 November 1967) is a Dutch former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1984 to 1995. Strijbos is notable for being the first Dutch competitor to win an FIM motocross world championship. Biography Born in Venlo, Netherlands, Strijbos was one of the top competitors in the 125cc motocross world championships in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He won his first international race at the 1984 125cc Dutch Grand Prix when he was only sixteen years old to become the youngest-ever Grand Prix winner until Ken Roczen won a Grand Prix at the age of 15 in 2009. He finished the season ranked 6th in the 125cc motocross world championship. In 1985, he won four Grand Prix races and finished the season ranked second in the 125cc motocross world championship just 9 points behind world champion Pekka Vehkonen. The 2011 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 55th F.I.M. Motocross World Championship season. Greg Albertyn is a South African former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1988 to 1994 and in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1995 to 2000. Albertyn is notable for being the first South African competitor to win an FIM motocross world championship. He won three FIM world championships and one American national championship during his racing career. He is now a real estate developer in Riverside, California, United States. Jean-Michel Bayle (born 1 April 1969) is a French former professional motorcycle racer. He was one of the most successful riders of his era, achieving success at the highest levels in both motocross and road racing. Biography Born in Manosque, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Bayle won the FIM 125cc motocross world championship in 1988, and the 250cc motocross world championship a year later. He competed in the United States in 1991, becoming the only rider ever to win all three major AMA motocross championships in the same year (Supercross, 250cc and 500cc). Pekka Vehkonen (born 27 May 1964 in Helsinki) is a Finnish former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1982 to 1993. Vehkonen is notable for winning the 1984 Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM 125cc motocross world championship. Biography Vehkonen won the Finnish 125cc national championship in 1980. He moved up the world championships in 1982 and in 1985, he won the FIM world championship in the 125cc class, while riding for the Cagiva factory racing team. Vehkonen moved up to the 250cc world championship where he finished in second place for four years in succession between 1987 and 1990. Vehkonen retired from competition in 1993.
