Greg Albertyn
Greg Albertyn is a South African former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1988 to 1994 and in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1995 to 2000. Albertyn is notable for being the first South African competitor to win an FIM motocross world championship. He won three FIM world championships and one American national championship during his racing career. He is now a real estate developer in Riverside, California, United States. Biography Albertyn won several South African and Dutch national motocross championships before moving onto the World Motocross Championship Grands Prix. Based in Europe, Albertyn and Belgian Stefan Everts had a fierce rivalry in the early part of their careers, with Albertyn usually getting the upper hand. Kevin Windham
Kevin Windham (born February 28, 1978), is an American former professional motocross racer. At 17 he received a full factory ride from Team Yamaha. He has raced for many factory teams and holds several titles, back to back AMA 125 West Supercross Championships in 1996 and 1997, the 2005 Motocross des Nations team championship, and 2nd in points for the 2008 supercross season. In 1999 Windham won the United States Grand Prix of Motocross held at Budd's Creek, Maryland. Despite his longtime status as one of the world's fastest motocross racers, he is yet to win a major (250cc or 450cc) National or World Championship. He is better known by the nickname K-Dub on the racing scene. He announced his retirement from racing at the third round of the 2013 Supercross season. ''Freekstyle'' is a 2002 motocross racing video game for the PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance. There are four levels of gameplay: the circuit, a quick race, freestyle, and free run. The game features an assortment of real-life FMX riders, which include Mike Metzger, Brian Deegan, Mike Jones, and Clifford Adoptante, as well as professional motocross riders, which include Stefy Bau, Jessica Patterson, and Greg Albertyn. Also featured as a playable character is current 790 KABC radio and sports broadcaster and model Leeann Tweeden, who was also a former motocross announcer. Ricky Carmichael
Richard Joseph Carmichael (born November 27, 1979) is an American former professional motocross and stock car racing driver. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1997 to 2007 and in NASCAR from 2008 to 2011. Carmichael is notable for winning the AMA 450cc motocross national championship seven times and, the AMA Supercross Championship 450cc class five times. His unrivaled successes in the sport of motocross have given him the nickname "The GOAT"; standing for Greatest of All Time. His NASCAR career began with him competing full-time in the East Series in 2008 for Ken Schrader Racing, as well as part-time in what is now the ARCA Menards Series for Kevin Harvick Incorporated. John Dowd (motocross)
John Dowd, also known as "The Junk yard Dog", (born August 10, 1965) is an American former professional motocross racer. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1987 to 2013. Motocross racing career Originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts, Dowd entered his first motocross (MX) race at age 20, considered old for prospective professional motocross riders. Dowd progressed quickly in the sport and was soon beating riders with many years more experience of motocross than himself and was able to turn professional by age 21. With his relatively late start, Dowd has achieved the best results of his career later in life, which is unusual compared to his typical competitors. Jimmy Button (born June 14, 1973) is an American former professional motocross racer, born in Phoenix, Arizona. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1990 to 2000.
