David Picão
David Picão (18 August 1923 in Ribeirão Preto - 30 April 2009 in São Paulo) was the Brazilian bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Santos from 21 November 1996, until his retirement on July 26, 2000. The diocese is headquartered in Santos, São Paulo. He was succeeded by the current bishop, Jacyr Francisco Braido. A bishop is an ordained clergy member who is entrusted with a position of authority and oversight in a religious institution.
