David Patrick (basketball)
David Patrick (born 21 February 1976) is an Australian college basketball coach who is the head coach for the Sacramento State Hornets men's basketball team. He is the former head coach of the UC Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team. He is the godfather of NBA player Ben Simmons. Playing career Born in Bermuda, and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Patrick arrived stateside in 1994, enrolling at Chapel Trafton High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was district MVP and First Team All-Parish, while also being selected to play in the Louisiana State High School All-Star Game. In addition, Patrick continued to compete for Australia at the youth national level. Patrick attended Syracuse for one season where he was part of the Orange's 1996 NCAA tournament Final Four team, before transferring to play his remaining three years of eligibility at Southwestern Louisiana (later Louisiana–Lafayette). A sports coach is a person coaching in sport, involved in the direction, instruction and training of a sports team or athlete. Jamie Dixon
James Patrick Dixon II (born November 10, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs men's team, where he played college ball. He previously served as the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team from 2003 through 2016. In 2009, he was the head coach for the FIBA Under-19 2009 gold-medal winning United States national basketball team for which he was named the 2009 USA Basketball National Coach of the Year. John Henry Jones Jr. (born March 30, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Texas Southern Tigers basketball team. The 1996 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 64 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It began on March 14, 1996, and ended with the championship game on April 1 at Continental Airlines Arena (now known as Izod Center) in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
