Euskal Bizikleta (Spanish: ''Bicicleta Vasca'', English: ''Basque Bicycle'') was an annual road bicycle racing, road cycling stage race held in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country in June. From 2005 to 2008, the race was organized as a 2.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. In 2009, it was merged with the Tour of the Basque Country. The first race was held in 1952, but it has only been called Euskal Bizikleta since 1991. The first winner (1952) was Louis Caput from France. The Spanish National Time Trial Championship ( es, Campeonato de España de Ciclismo Contrarreloj) is a time trial race that takes place inside the Spanish National Cycling Championship, and decides the best cyclist in this type of race. The time trial championships in Spain have not been held for as long as the Spanish National Road Race Championships, which first took place in 1897. The first race winner of the time trial championship was Abraham Olano in 1994. Jonathan Castroviejo holds the record for the most wins in the men's championship with five titles, followed by Iván Gutiérrez and Luis León Sánchez, with both riders winning four titles.
