David Drysdale
David Stuart Drysdale (born 19 March 1975) is a Scottish professional golfer. Career Drysdale was born in Edinburgh. He turned professional in 1995. He married his childhood sweetheart Victoria in 2004. Drysdale currently competes on the European Tour, having graduated through qualifying school for the fourth time at the end of 2008. He had previously qualified for the elite tour in 2001, 2006 and 2007 through q-school, in addition to graduating directly from the Challenge Tour in 2004, when he finished 12th on the end of season rankings, largely thanks to a sudden death playoff victory over Mattias Eliasson at the Bouygues Telecom Grand Final. Prior to 2009, Drysdale's best finish on the European Tour had been as runner-up at the 2006 Russian Open. In March 2009, he equalled that when he finished second in the Open de Andalucia. 2006 Challenge Tour
The 2006 Challenge Tour was the 18th season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. The Challenge Tour Rankings were won by Wales' Mark Pilkington. Frenchman Adrien Mörk shot the first 59 in the history of the PGA European Tour's three tours at the Tikida Hotels Agadir Moroccan Classic. Bouygues Telecom Grand Final
The Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final is the season-ending tour championship on the Challenge Tour. The field currently consists of the top 45 players on the Challenge Tour rankings vying for fifteen European Tour cards. It has been played annually since 1995. ISPS Handa Perth International
The World Super 6 Perth is a golf tournament that was played for the first time in October 2012 as the ISPS Handa Perth International. It is played at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Perth, Western Australia. It is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. The Championship At Laguna National
The Ballantine's Championship (known as The Championship at Laguna National in its final year) was a European Tour golf tournament which was played from 2008 to 2014. It was the first European Tour event to be staged in South Korea. From 2008 to 2010, the tournament was played at Pinx Golf Club on the island of Jeju. Nelson Mandela Championship
The Nelson Mandela Championship was a golf tournament, played for the first time in December 2012. It was played in Durban, South Africa and was co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. It was sponsored by the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. It was the first event of the 2013 European Tour. The first ever event was reduced to 36 holes due to rain and in order for the tournament to commence the course was reduced to a par 65 and was 1600 yards shorter. The tournament ended in a playoff. Eduardo de la Riva dropped out with a bogey on the first extra hole, Steve Webster made a bogey on the second extra hole, and Scott Jamieson won with a par. Johnnie Walker Championship At Gleneagles
The Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles was a European Tour golf tournament which was played at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. The tournament was founded in 1999 as the Scottish PGA Championship, and despite maintaining the same sponsor, has since changed name on several occasions, as Diageo has looked to promote different brands. It was last contested over the PGA Centenary Course, formerly called the Monarch's Course, venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup matches. Avantha Masters
The Avantha Masters was a professional golf tournament co-sanctioned by the European Tour, Asian Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India. The tournament was played at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Delhi from 2010 to 2012 and moved to Jaypee Greens Golf Club, Greater Noida in 2013. The event was tri-sanctioned by the European Tour, the Asian Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). The 2011 Avantha Masters carried an increased prize fund of €1.8 million. On 5 September 2013, the tournament's sponsor, Avantha Group, announced it had decided against renewing the contract with the European Tour because of current economic conditions. The BMW PGA Championship is an annual men's professional golf tournament on the European Tour. It was founded in 1955 by the Professional Golfers' Association, and originally called the British PGA Championship.
