Dasan Robinson
Dasan Alexander Robinson (born June 6, 1984, in Evanston, Illinois) is a retired American soccer player. Career College and Amateur Robinson grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from Elyria High School. He played college soccer at the University of Dayton for four years, where he finished with 6 goals and 13 assists in 68 matches, and spent three seasons with Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Robinson was drafted in the second round, 22nd overall, by Chicago Fire in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft and played for Chicago into the 2011 MLS season. He was traded to Toronto FC on July 28, 2011, for Dan Gargan and a second-round 2012 MLS SuperDraft pick. Robinson made his debut for Toronto on August 18 in the CONCACAF Champions League group stage against Tauro F.C., a 2–1 away victory for TFC. The MLS Cup is the annual championship game of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the culmination of the MLS Cup Playoffs. The game is held in November and pits the winner of the Eastern Conference Final against the winner of the Western Conference Final. The MLS Cup winner is awarded the title of league champion. MLS uses a playoff tournament following the regular season to determine its annual league champion, a method common to every other major North American sports league. Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men's professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport's highest level in the United States. 2011 MLS Re-Entry Draft
The two-stage 2011 MLS Re-Entry Draft took place on December 5, 2011 (Stage 1) and December 12, 2011 (Stage 2). All 19 Major League Soccer clubs participated. The Stage 1 and Stage 2 Drafts were conducted in the same order as the traditional Waiver Draft, with clubs choosing in reverse order of their 2011 Major League Soccer season finish.
