Daryl Kramp
Daryl Kramp (born June 14, 1947) is a Canadian politician. He served as the Conservative member of the Member of Parliament for the riding of Prince Edward—Hastings. He also served as the Progressive Conservative Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Hastings—Lennox and Addington. Personal life Kramp is a former investigator with the Ontario Provincial Police. He has been a municipal councillor and deputy reeve in the municipality of Madoc, Ontario where he currently lives. He works in the retail, wholesale and hospitality sectors. He has also organized junior-level ice hockey tours, and is a part-time instructor at St. Lawrence College, Kingston. A Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) is an elected member of the Legislative Assembly of the Canadian province of Ontario. Mike Bossio
Mike Bossio (born 1960 or 1961) is a Canadian Liberal politician, who was elected to represent the riding of Hastings—Lennox and Addington in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 federal election and served until his defeat in the 2019 Canadian federal election. Bossio earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy at York University. Since 1989, he has operated Boscan Consultants Inc., a consulting business that handles recruitment for telecommunications firms. From 1998 to 2000, he served as a councilor for Tyendinaga, Ontario. Other notable political involvement included leading a 15-year fight to oppose the creation of a large landfill in Tyendinaga. The Canadian Group of the Canada-China Legislative Association (CCLA) is a non-partisan forum for the discussion of bilateral and multilateral issues facing the two countries. 2004 Canadian Federal Election
The 2004 Canadian federal election was held on June 28, 2004, to elect members to the House of Commons of Canada of the 38th Parliament of Canada. The Liberal government of Prime Minister Paul Martin lost its majority but was able to continue in office as a minority government after the election. This was the first election contested by the newly amalgamated Conservative Party of Canada, after it was formed by the two right-of-centre parties, the Progressive Conservative Party and the Canadian Alliance. The Canadian Alliance (french: Alliance canadienne), formally the Canadian Reform Conservative Alliance (french: Alliance réformiste-conservatrice canadienne), was a centre-right to right-wing federal political party in Canada that existed under that name from 2000 to 2003. The Canadian Alliance was the new name of the Reform Party of Canada and inherited many of its populist policies, as well as its position as the Official Opposition in the House of Commons of Canada. Larry McCormick (Canadian Politician)
Larry McCormick (January 4, 1940 – May 3, 2011) was a Canadian politician. He was born in Enterprise, Ontario. McCormick was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada in the House of Commons of Canada, representing the riding Hastings—Frontenac—Lennox and Addington from 1993 to 2004. Benefiting from vote-splitting between the Progressive Conservatives and the Reform Party, he was the first Liberal since 1935 to win a seat in this area in the House of Commons. McCormick was Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. McCormick's seat was merged with parts of the former riding of Lanark—Carleton, forcing him into a contest with that riding's Conservative incumbent, Scott Reid in the 2004 election.
