Darryl Monroe Jr. (born January 30, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Anyang KGC of the Korean Basketball League. A power forward/center, he played college basketball for Central Florida CC and George Mason University before playing professionally in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Israel, Turkey and South Korea. Playing for Maccabi Rishon LeZion, he was named the 2016 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP, and the 2016 Israeli Basketball Premier League Finals MVP. Early life and college career Monroe attended First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He started his college basketball career with Central Florida Community College, where he averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists in his freshman year. Maccabi Rishon LeZion ( he, מכבי ראשון לציון) is a basketball club based in Rishon LeZion, Israel. The club plays in the Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli basketball. 2023 EASL Champions Week
The 2023 EASL Champions Week was the pre-season tournament of the 2023 East Asia Super League, an international basketball club competition involving teams from domestic leagues in Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Taiwan, as well as a franchise team representing Greater China. The Champions Week is being held from 1 to 5 March 2023. The Champions Week was conceptualized after the regular season was postponed. The regular season was originally scheduled to be held from 12 October 2022 to February 2023, under a home and away format and a Final Four knockout stage. The winners received USD 250,000, while the runners-up and third-place teams received USD 100,000 and USD 50,000, respectively. The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I whose full members are located in East Coast states from Massachusetts to South Carolina. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup was the inaugural season of the newly formed basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season started on 21 October 2015 and ended on 1 May 2016. The competition replaced the EuroChallenge and had the aim to take the place of Eurocup (organised by Euroleague Basketball), as the second-tier competition in Europe. Format In the Regular season, 56 teams are divided into 14 groups of four teams. In the Round of 32, the first and second best teams from the Regular season play in groups of four. The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor.
