Darren McDermott
Darren McDermott is an English middleweight boxer. He is the current holder of the English middleweight title and has previously held the Midlands Area title at the same weight. In 2008 he competed for the full British title and in 2009 competed for the Commonwealth. Early Professional career McDermott's first outing as a professional took place on 26 April 2003 with a fight at the Fountain Leisure Centre in Brentford defeating journeyman Leigh Wicks. He next fought on 13 June 2003 in Queensway, London stopping Gary Jones in the 1st round and then on 30 October 2003 defeating Harry Butler in his home town of Dudley. The three victories topped off a successful debut year for McDermott finishing with a record of 3-0. Throughout 2004 McDermott fought on four more occasions winning each time and drawing once. Dudley
Dudley is a large market town and administrative centre in the county of West Midlands, England, southeast of Wolverhampton and northwest of Birmingham. Brentford
Brentford is a suburban town in West London, England and part of the London Borough of Hounslow. It lies at the confluence of the River Brent and the Thames, west of Charing Cross. In American English, a journeyman or journeywoman is an athlete who is technically competent but unable to excel. Wayne Elcock (born 12 February 1974) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1999 to 2009. He challenged once for the IBF middleweight title in 2007. At regional level, he held the British middleweight title from 2007 to 2009. Steven Bendall (born 1 December 1973) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1997 to 2013. He held the BBBofC English middleweight title twice in 2005 and 2008 and the IBO Inter-Continental middleweight title from 2001 to 2003. Paul James Smith Jr. (born 6 October 1982) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2003 to 2017, and has since worked as a commentator. He held the English middleweight title in 2008, the British super-middleweight title twice between 2009 and 2014, and challenged three times for a super-middleweight world title. As an amateur, he won a silver medal in the light middleweight division at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Darren Barker (born 19 May 1982) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2013. He held multiple titles at middleweight, including the IBF title in 2013; the Commonwealth title from 2007 to 2009; the British title in 2009; and the European title from 2010 to 2011.
