Daria Morozova (curler)
Daria Vladimirovna Morozova (russian: Дарья Владимировна Морозова; born in Moscow 22 January 1997) is a Russian competitive ice dancer. With former partner Mikhail Zhirnov, she is the 2014 JGP Slovenia champion. Career Morozova started skating in 2001. She began competing with Mikhail Zhirnov in the 2008–09 season. The two were coached by Svetlana Liapina before they switched to Alexander Svinin and Irina Zhuk. Representing Russia, Morozova/Zhirnov made their junior international debut in November 2010 at the NRW Trophy. In September 2011, they placed fifth at their first ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) assignment, in Riga, Latvia. In the 2012–13 JGP season, they ranked fourth in Lake Placid, New York, before winning bronze in Chemnitz, Germany. They finished fourth at the 2013 Russian Junior Championships. 2013–14 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2013–14 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 17th season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the 2013–14 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, in which senior-level skaters will compete. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earn points toward qualifying for the final at each of the seven Junior Grand Prix events. The top six skaters or teams from each discipline meet at the 2013–14 Junior Grand Prix Final, to be held concurrently with the senior final. Free Dance (figure Skating)
The free dance (FD) is a segment of an ice dance competition, the second contested. It follows the rhythm dance (RD). Skaters perform "a creative dance program blending dance steps and movements expressing the character/rhythm(s) of the dance music chosen by the couple".S&P/ID 2022, p. 143 Its duration is four minutes for senior ice dancers, and 3.5 minutes for juniors. French ice dancers Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron hold the highest recorded international FD score of 137.09 points. Short Dance
The short dance (SD) was the first segment of an ice dancing competition from the 2010–2011 to the 2017–2018 seasons. It was approved in June 2010 by the International Skating Union (ISU). It merged the original dance (OD) and compulsory dance (CD), which were both discontinued. The ISU renamed the short dance to the rhythm dance (RD) in 2018. The SD was composed of two parts: the pattern dance (formerly known as the compulsory dance), which lasted about one minute and could be placed anywhere in the SD, and the creative section, which took up most of the SD. The pattern dance changed each year, and was announced beforehand by the ISU. The ISU also published yearly rule changes. The 2015 Russian Figure Skating Championships (russian: Чемпионат России по фигурному катанию на коньках 2015) was held from 24 to 28 December 2014 in Sochi. The ISU Junior Grand Prix Final or JGP Final (titled the ISU Junior Series Final in the 1997–98 season) is the culmination of a series of junior-level competitions – the ISU Junior Grand Prix organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event. At the end of the series, the six highest-placing skaters from each discipline advance to the JGP Final.
