Dany (comics)
Dany, pseudonym for Daniel Henrotin (born 28 January 1943) is a Belgian comic book artist, best known for ''Olivier Rameau'' and '' Ça vous intéresse?''. Biography Daniel Henrotin was born in Marche-en-Famenne in 1943.De Weyer, Geert (2005). "Dany". In België gestript, pp. 101–102. Tielt: Lannoo. After studying at the Art School of Liège, he started working as a comics artist in 1966, as an assistant for Mitteï, an artist working for ''Tintin'' magazine. Dany worked there for a year and then had to leave in order to do his military service. Afterwards, he started collaborating directly on ''Tintin'' magazine with illustrations and short stories, and worked in the studio of Greg, the editor-in-chief of the magazine. Greg wrote a poetic story about ''Olivier Rameau'' and the people of Dreamland, and it marked the debut of Dany's first successful and longest running series. Prix Diagonale
Prix was an American power pop band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1975 by Tommy Hoehn and Jon Tiven. The group ended up primarily as a studio project. Its recordings were produced by Tiven along with former Big Star member Chris Bell, who also played guitar and sang backup vocals. Prix is also famous of Banjo playing. Alex Chilton also participated in the recordings, along with session drummer Hilly Michaels. Although the group generated some major record label interest—notably from Mercury Records and Columbia/CBS Records—it ultimately only released a double A-side single on Ork Records in 1977 and a single on Miracle Records in 1978. Its only live performance came at a CBS Records showcase in 1976. In 1977, just as Ork Records released the first single and booked the group at CBGB, Prix broke up due both to Hoehn's unwillingness to remain in New York and to creative differences. Prix Saint-Michel
The Prix Saint-Michel is a series of comic awards presented by the city of Brussels, with a focus on Franco-Belgian comics. They were first awarded in 1971, and although often said to be the oldest European comics awards, they are actually the second oldest comics award in Europe still presented, behind the Adamson Awards. Their history is quite erratic though, with a long pause between 1986 and 2002. Christophe Arleston (born Christophe Pelinq, 14 August 1963) is a French comics writer and editor. He has also worked as Scotch Arleston. Biography In his early childhood, Christophe Arleston lived in Madagascar, Macon and Paris before returning to Aix-en-Provence. He studied journalism at Marseille. He started his career by working as a journalist and later in communications. He started writing radio drama for France Inter. In 1992 he started writing comic books for Soleil Productions. In 1994 he published Lanfeust of Troy. In 1998 he created Lanfeust Mag, a monthly comic strip. Since 2021, he is the head of Drakoo Editions, a fantasy comics publishing house. In 2010, he was the bestselling comics author in France, with 1.5 million albums sold that year. Between 1980 and 2023, he was estimated to have sold 15 million albums. Bob de Groot is a Belgian comics artist and writer, born on 26 October 1941 in Brussels, to Dutch and French parents. Career While still a young art student de Groot got his first comics experience as an assistant to Maurice Tillieux on ''Félix''. He began creating shorter work for the Franco-Belgian comics magazine ''Pilote'', with creators such as Hubuc, Reiser.
