Daniel Elsner
Daniel Elsner (born 4 January 1979) is a former professional German tennis player. Juniors Elsner was an outstanding juniors player. He won 3 consecutive juniors grand slam singles titles: the 1996 Juniors U.S. Open, the 1997 Juniors Australian Open, and 1997 Juniors French Open; as well as making the finals of the subsequent 1997 Juniors Wimbledon. He is one of only 12 male players (as of May 2017) to win at least 3 junior grand slam singles titles, and one of only 4 to do so consecutively. He was a World No. 1 junior player in singles. ATP Tour Elsner turned professional in 1997 and won several futures tournaments, but had limited success on the ATP tour. His professional highlight was making the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open in 2000, beating then ATP world No. 2 ranked Magnus Norman en route 46 76 64. 1997 Wimbledon Championships
The 1997 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London in the United Kingdom. It was the 111th edition of the Wimbledon Championships and was held from 23 June to 6 July 1997. The championships saw the inauguration of a new No. 1 Court, the third court to be named such in the club's history. To commemorate the new stadium, all the three-time or more singles champions were invited to a ceremony marking the opening of the new court and were presented with a silver salver. Ten of the thirteen surviving eligible champions attended: Louise Brough, Rod Laver, Margaret Court, Billie Jean King, John Newcombe, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe, Boris Becker and Pete Sampras. Carsten Arriens (born 11 April 1969) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Career Arriens played his first tournament on the ATP Tour in 1991, at the Geneva Open, where he upset world number 33 Omar Camporese. In 1992 he won the Guarujá Open, as a qualifier.
