Danie Poolman
Danie Poolman (born 10 March 1989) is a South African former professional rugby union player. He played for Irish provincial side Connacht Rugby in the Pro12 until 2017 followed by a spell playing amateur rugby in Dublin with Bective Rangers in the Leinster League. He primarily plays on the wing or in the centre. Born in Pretoria, he formerly played for Western Province in South Africa's Currie Cup, and Super Rugby side the Stormers. Qualified to play for Ireland by residence since 2015, Poolman indicated his intention to do so. Career Youth and Varsity rugby Poolman played schoolboy rugby for Paul Roos Gymnasium and was included in the Under-18 side at the 2007 Craven Week tournament. The 2010 Varsity Cup was contested from 1 February to 29 March 2010. The tournament (also known as the ''FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International'' for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the Varsity Cup, an annual inter-university rugby union competition featuring eight South African universities. The 2012–13 Pro12 League (also known as the ''RaboDirect Pro12'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 12th season of the rugby union competition originally known as the Celtic League, the third with its current 12-team format, and the second with RaboDirect as title sponsor. Ospreys were the defending champions, but they failed to qualify for the end-of-season playoffs. Gerhard Jacobus van den Heever (born 13 April 1989) is a South African-born Japanese rugby union player for the in Super Rugby and Kubota Spears in the Top League. His regular playing position is as a wing. Gio Giaan Aplon (born 6 October 1982) is a South African rugby union player for Toyota Verblitz in the Top League in Japan. He scored two tries in a 42–17 triumph against the Six Nations Tournament, Six Nations winner – France. The match was also his debut playing as a South African winger number 14. Career Aplon is a winger who played for the Stormers. He also has had a very successful South African sevens career. He has blistering speed and is known as the "pocket dynamo".
