2012–13 Pro12
The 2012–13 Pro12 League (also known as the ''RaboDirect Pro12'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 12th season of the rugby union competition originally known as the Pro14, Celtic League, the third with its current 12-team format, and the second with RaboDirect as title sponsor. Ospreys (rugby union), Ospreys were the defending champions, but they failed to qualify for the end-of-season playoffs. The twelve teams that competed were the four Irish teams, Munster Rugby, Munster, Leinster Rugby, Leinster, Connacht Rugby, Connacht and Ulster Rugby, Ulster; two Scottish teams, Edinburgh Rugby, Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors; four Welsh teams, Cardiff Blues, Dragons (rugby union), Newport Gwent Dragons, Ospreys (rugby union), Ospreys and Scarlets; and two Italian teams, Benetton Rugby, Benetton Treviso and newly created Zebre. Scarlets
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup (which replaced the Heineken Cup from the 2014–15 season). The club was originally named the Llanelli Scarlets but was renamed at the start of the 2008–09 rugby season. The Llanelli Scarlets were founded in 2003, as one of the five (now four) regional teams created by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). Tony McGahan
Tony McGahan is an Australian rugby union coach who is currently an assistant coach at the Queensland Reds. Early career Born in Queensland, Australia, a teacher by profession, a BE in Physical Education from Queensland University of Technology, he played Rugby Union (inside centre) with Queensland Schoolboys and Eastern Districts and Rugby League with Queensland U16s/19s, Australian Universities. Rob Penney
Rob Penney (born 27 April 1964) is a former New Zealand rugby union player, playing at No.8 for Canterbury throughout his career. He has served in various coaching roles since 2005. He was the head coach of Australian Super Rugby side Waratahs in 2020 and 2021. Coaching career Canterbury and New Zealand Penney coached Canterbury rugby in New Zealand from 2006 to 2011, and led them to win four ITM Cup's in a row. Sean Lineen (born 25 December 1961) is a former Scotland international rugby union player. He was a former Head Coach of Glasgow Warriors from 2006 to 2012. Gregor Townsend
Gregor Peter John Townsend, (born 26 April 1973) is a Scottish rugby union coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Scotland national team having previously been an assistant coach from 2009 to 2012. As a player, he won 82 caps for Scotland and two for the British and Irish Lions. He is a former coach of Glasgow Warriors and was a player-coach for Border Reivers. As well as in Scotland, he played club rugby in Australia, England, France and South Africa. As coach of Scotland, his team won at Twickenham for the first time in 38 years in 2021. Scotstoun Stadium
Scotstoun Stadium is an athletics and rugby union stadium in Scotstoun, an area in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow Warriors have trained at the facility since 2009 and have played their home games here from the 2012–13 season onwards. It has a capacity of 9,708 for rugby union. Between 2012 and 2015, the Stadium hosted the Scotland Sevens – the Scottish leg of the IRB Sevens World Series, but then the leg was moved to a new host country, France in 2016. Maryhill
Maryhill ( gd, Cnoc Màiri) is an area of the City of Glasgow in Scotland. Maryhill is a former burgh. Maryhill stretches over along Maryhill Road. The far north west of the area is served by Maryhill railway station. History Hew Hill, the Laird, or Lord, of Gairbraid, had no male heir and so he left his estate to his daughter, Mary Hill (1730-1809). She married Robert Graham of Dawsholm in 1763, but they had no income from trade or commerce and had to make what they could from the estate. They founded coalmines on the estate but they proved to be wet and unprofitable. On 8 March 1768 Parliament approved the cutting of the Forth and Clyde Canal through their estate, which provided some much-needed money.
