Edge Of Sanity
Edge of Sanity was a Swedish death metal band that, alongside Opeth, is commonly regarded as being the first to fuse extreme metal styles like death and black metal with progressive rock. The group was founded by Dan Swanö in 1989 and ended in 2003. History Edge of Sanity began as a death metal band with their debut release '' Nothing but Death Remains''. The band's second release, '' Unorthodox'', with tracks like "Enigma" and "When All Is Said", showed Edge of Sanity branching out from some of the genre's conventions. '' The Spectral Sorrows'', '' Until Eternity Ends'', and '' Purgatory Afterglow'' continued the trend, so that by the release of '' Crimson'' (1996), Edge of Sanity was a progressive metal band. ''Crimson'' was a 40-minute concept album consisting entirely of one track, concerning a post-apocalyptic future in which mankind had lost the ability to breed. After one more album, '' Infernal'' (1997), guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Dan Swanö left Edge of Sani ...

Like An Ever Flowing Stream
''Like an Ever Flowing Stream'' is the debut album by Swedish death metal band Dismember, released in May 1991. Overview The title may refer to the Biblical Book of Amos 5:24, "Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream" (New International Version). A music video was made for the track "Soon to Be Dead". Since Karmageddon Records owns the rights to the album, it was not re-issued as a digipack disc in 2005 like every other album (except for ''Where Ironcrosses Grow''). Regain re-issued those digipack versions and also remastered the albums while Karmageddon released an exact copy of the 1996 issue by Nuclear Blast (except for two additional bonus tracks). Nicke Andersson, at the time the drummer in Entombed played all the lead guitars except for the guitar solo on "Override of the Overture", which is played by David Blomqvist. Reception Modern reviews for ''Like an Ever Flowing Stream'' have been positive. AllMusic's Phil Freeman gave the ...

Produced by Adam Dutkiewicz, the record was recorded in several studios across the United States from November 2010 – April 2011. The album is a follow up to The Devil Wears Prada's 2009 album, '' With Roots Above and Branches Below''. Much like their previous efforts the album's lyrics were penned by lead vocalist Mike Hranica, whose lyrical direction focused on anti-idolatry concepts. The band's musical style changed after the success of the ''Zombie EP'', this led to, what Hranica described as; fusing the melodic elements of their previous studio albums with the ferocity of ''Zombie''. Background and recording Since the time of The Devil Wears Prada's fame, their past approach of all band members sitting down and writing a record, hasn't been used collaboratively since '' Plagues'', it is noted by guitarist Chris Rubey th ...
