The Act (album)
''The Act'' is the seventh studio album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. It was released on October 11, 2019, through Solid State Records. The album was produced by the band's keyboardist Jonathan Gering. It is the band's final album with founding bassist Andy Trick before his departure in September 2020. Composition Vocalist Mike Hranica mentioned the band scrapped 60 songs they had developed before settling with the 12 that make up the album. Hranica stated "We wanted to do something that actually tests the boundaries. You don't see that in rock, and there's so little invention in rock these days." The Devil Wears Prada is an American metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2005. Previously a Christian metalcore band, it consists of members Mike Hranica (vocals, additional guitar), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar, vocals), Kyle Sipress (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mason Nagy (bass), Jonathan Gering (keyboards, backing vocals), and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums). The band had maintained its original line-up until keyboardist James Baney left the band. Chelsea Wolfe
Chelsea Joy Wolfe (born November 14, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Her work has blended elements of gothic rock, doom metal, and folk music. Raised in Northern California with a country musician father, Wolfe began writing and recording songs during her childhood. She earned underground critical acclaim for her releases, ''The Grime and the Glow'' (2010) and '' Apokalypsis'' (2011), which blended gothic and folk elements. Sierra Kay Kusterbeck (born December 18, 1990), better known as Sierra Kay, is an American singer-songwriter and model. She rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of the rock band VersaEmerge. Early life Kusterbeck was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She began taking vocal lessons in the third grade. She attended the arts-centric PCCA Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg for three years as a Musical Theatre major, but dropped out of high school to pursue music as a career. Giuseppe Capolupo
Giuseppe Capolupo is an American musician who typically performs metalcore. Capolupo has been in bands such as Renfield, Demise of Eros, Haste the Day and Once Nothing, as well as formed his own band, Gypsy and His Band of Ghosts. Capolupo joined The Devil Wears Prada as a fill-in drummer, with the eventual plan of becoming an official member. Background Capolupo began his musical career in 2003, when he became the rhythm guitarist, and co-vocalist for Renfield. After which, he started to perform drums for Demise of Eros.
