Daniel Lewis Lloyd (23 November 1843 – 4 August 1899) was a schoolteacher and cleric. Born in Llanarth, Ceredigion, Wales, Lloyd was educated at Lampeter College School and Jesus College, Oxford. He was, successively, the headmaster at Dolgelley Grammar School (1867–1872), Friars School, Bangor (1872–1878) and Christ College, Brecon (1878–1890). Daniel B. Lloyd (born November 9, 1953) is a former American football linebacker who played four seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants. He played college football at the University of Washington and was drafted in the sixth round (162nd overall) of the 1976 NFL Draft. Dan Lloyd was a California High School Individual Wrestling Champion from James Lick High School - following the path blazed earlier at James Lick by (Heisman Trophy winner) Jim Plunkett. Daniel Edward Sidney Lloyd (born October 13, 1972) is an American former child actor best known for his role as Danny Torrance in the horror film '' The Shining'' (1980) an adaptation of Stephen King's 1977 novel of the same name. Life and career Lloyd was born in Tremont, Illinois. His first and best-known role is that of Danny Torrance in Stanley Kubrick's '' The Shining'' (1980). He was selected for the role due to his ability to maintain his concentration for extended periods. In the DVD commentary by Garrett Brown and John Baxter, they state that Kubrick was able to film all of Lloyd's scenes without the six-year-old actor realizing he was in a horror film. Daniel Lloyd (born 11 August 1980) is a retired English professional road racing cyclist and current commentator and presenter from Christchurch, Dorset. Lloyd's professional victories include the Vuelta a Extremadura overall in 2008 and stages of Tour of Siam and Tour of Qinghai Lake in 2006. Daniel Lloyd (born 4 March 1992) is a British racing car driver and the 2009 champion of the Renault Clio UK Winter Cup. Lloyd was born in Huddersfield. After competing in the Skip Barber National Championship in the first half of 2010, he made his début in the British Touring Car Championship at Croft. In 2011 he raced in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup, qualifying on pole in his debut race and eventually scored two victories and finished third in the championship.
