Daniel Lloyd (racing Driver)
Daniel Lloyd (born 4 March 1992) is a British racing car driver and the 2009 champion of the Renault Clio UK Winter Cup. Lloyd was born in Huddersfield. After competing in the Skip Barber National Championship in the first half of 2010, he made his début in the British Touring Car Championship at Croft. In 2011 he raced in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup, qualifying on pole in his debut race and eventually scored two victories and finished third in the championship. For 2012, he raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain series with Team Parker Racing and scored his first victory in round 6 in the monsoon conditions at Thruxton, just beating rival Glynn Geddie. Brands Hatch
Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England, United Kingdom. Originally used as a grasstrack motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently hosts many British and International racing events. Glynn Geddie (born 17 June 1990) is a British racing driver from Aberdeen, who last competed in the 2021 British Touring Car Championship for Team HARD. After spending his early racing career in GT cars and winning the 2011 British GT Championship, Geddie made his touring car debut in the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season. Career British GT Championship Geddie made his debut in the British GT Championship in 2010 with Trackspeed, joining David Ashburn for the third round of the season at Knockhill. Geddie returned to the team full-time starting at the Rockingham round, the pair took four victories to secure the championship for Ashburn and second place for Geddie. Oulton Park is a hard surfaced track used for motor racing, close to the village of Little Budworth, Cheshire, England. Rockingham Motor Speedway is a former racing motorsport venue in Rockingham, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom, near the town of Corby. Triple Eight Racing was a motorsports team formed in 1996 as Triple Eight Race Engineering, which competed in the British Touring Car Championship and the British GT Championship. The team's original focus was to design, build and race Vauxhalls on behalf of the General Motors brand in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). A close working alliance developed during a decade of success and Triple Eight became Vauxhall's technical partner for motorsport. 2010 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was the 53rd British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. It began at Thruxton Circuit on 4 April and finished after 30 races over ten events at Brands Hatch on 10 October. RML Chevrolet driver Jason Plato claimed the championship with a win in the penultimate race of the season leading home season long rival, Honda Racing Team's Matt Neal. On his way to his second BTCC crown, Plato claimed seven victories through the course of the season compared to Neal's five wins. The final victory margin was 31 points. Neal's teammate Gordon Shedden also had a shot at the title heading into the final round but a broken driveshaft immediately prior to the start of Race 2 at Brands Hatch left him too far adrift and he finished the title 42 points behind Plato. Excelr8 Motorsport
EXCELR8 Motorsport is a British racing team that is headed by Justina Williams, and is currently competing in both the MINI CHALLENGE and British Touring Car Championship. The team has successfully competed in the MINI CHALLENGE since 2010 racking up multiple championships in both the Cooper and JCW classes, including in the most recent 2020 season when it carried Nathan Harrison to the JCW crown. Joining the BTCC in 2019, the team ran ex- Triple Eight & AmD MG6 GT cars with drivers Rob Smith and Sam Osborne.
