Damala Hagare
Damala Hagare () is a town in the Sanaag region of Puntland state of Somalia. Recent History In November 2005, the Sanaag region was reported to be experiencing water shortages, and Damala Hagare was one of the worst affected areas. In March 2013, a peace conference between the Warsangali and Dhulbahante clans was held in Damara Hagare. In September 2014, Somaliland's Defense Minister attempted to attend a meeting of the Warsangali clans in Hingalol, but was unable to do so and was stranded in Damara Hagale. In May 2019, Somaliland and Puntland troops clashed in Damala Hagare. The total number of dead on both sides is estimated at nine. In June, the Somaliland army deployed troops, including armored vehicles, to Yubbe, Hadaftimo, and Damala Hagare for border security from Puntland. The Dhulbahante ( so, Dhulbahante, ar, دلبةنتئ) is a Somali clan family, part of the Harti clan which itself belongs to the largest Somali clan-family — the Darod. They are the traditional inhabitants of the physiographic Nugaal in its topographic sense, and its pre-independence administrative sense, which included Doollo. Hingalol
Hingalol or Hingalool ( so, Xingalool) is a district located in the Sanaag region of Somalia. Overview Hingalol is situated on the Hadeed Plateau of the Sanaag region. Hingalol was established in 1958. A small hamlet, it increased in size and population in the wake of the Somali Civil War and became a full district. In November 2017, Puntland built a military base on the outskirt of the city. In October 2020, Puntland Minister of Education and Minister of Agriculture visited Hingalol to assess needs and support schools and other institutions in the district. While growing at a faster pace, basic services and government assistance are lacking. Yubbe

Hadaftimo
Hadaftimo ( so, Hadaaftimo) is an historic town in the eastern Sanaag region. It is home to several archaeological sites and ancient buildings. There is a Puntland military base. History Hadaftimo is an old town. During the British Somaliland, four settlements were identified in the vicinity: Buraan in the Sool Plateau, El Dahir, Xubeera, Hadaftimo in the Gebi Valley. Around 1990, the Somali National Movement attacked Hadaftimo, a home of the Warsangeli clan, causing a large number of refugees. However, this attack was later condemned by Somali National Movement leaders. In mid-1992, an Islamist militant group Al-Itihaad al-Islamiya (AIAI) moved into the Sanaag region, and the Warsangali clan held a meeting in Hadaftimo and resolved to unify Somalia and prevent the AIAI from entering.
