D-Day (D-Lite EP)
''D-Day'' is the second Japanese extended play of South Korean artist, Daesung, also known by his Japanese stage name, D-Lite, member of boy band Big Bang. The album was released digitally on March 28 and physically on April 12, 2017. Background and composition In December 2016, Daesung's first Dome Tour was announced, with shows in the Japanese cities of Saitama and Osaka. In support of this tour, a new album's name and release date was announced in February of the following year. ''D-Day'' contains seven songs written and composed by top Japanese artists, including Ayaka, Hata Motohiro and Mizuno Yoshiki. Kameda Seiji, who previously produced his Japanese covers album, ''D'scover'', will be the album's main producer. Daesung wrote some songs himself as well, including "Spring Breeze Melody." Kang Dae-sung (Hangul: 강대성; born April 26, 1989), better known mononymously as Daesung and his Japanese stage name D-Lite, is a South Korean singer, actor and television personality who made his musical debut in 2006 as a member of the South Korean boy band Big Bang under the record label YG Entertainment. He debuted as a solo artist in South Korea with the number one trot song "Look at Me, Gwisoon" in 2008. Lee Seung-hyun (; born December 12, 1990), better known by his stage names Seungri (Hangul: ) and V.I (when performing in Japan), is a former South Korean singer, songwriter, actor, businessman and sex offender convicted of facilitating prostitution, sexual bribery and embezzlement in the Burning Sun scandal. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website.
