Con Blatsis
Constantinos "Con" Blatsis (born 6 July 1977) is a former Australian international association footballer who played as a defender. Club career Blatsis was born in Melbourne. He started his career at his home club South Melbourne making 104 league appearances before moving to English Premier League side Derby County in the summer of 2000. He subsequently joined First Division Sheffield Wednesday on loan making six appearances. After making only two appearances for Derby he was released and in March 2002 joined Division Two side Colchester United on a short-term deal. He made seven appearances for the club becoming a fan favorite in the process. However, he left the club at the end of the season. He then joined Turkish team Kocaelispor, where he played until he left the club for financial reasons during his second season. Süper Lig
The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. The 2002-03 Süper Lig was the 45th edition of top-flight professional football in Turkey. The season celebrated the centenary of Beşiktaş J.K., who became eventual champions. Football League First Division
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. 1999–2000 National Soccer League
The 1999–2000 National Soccer League season, was the 24th season of the National Soccer League in Australia. Overview 1999–2000 was the first season since a 1995–96 rebrand to be officially known as the National Soccer League after Ericsson withdrew their sponsorship shortly before the season.
